The IMCCA is hosting its annual Collaboration Week for the second year running in New York. The event will take place on the 24th to the 26th of February. Hundreds of attendees are expected to attend the event, which includes venues such as end-user sites from Google, the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce, and BlackRock.

Introducing the Award Winners

Randy Klein, the CEO and President of Crestron Electronics (pictured above left), will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award (ETF). Randy has been with Crestron for 30 years now and has contributed to incredible growth of the brand. His progression in the company has been consistent, culminating in his position as CEO and President, which began in 2014. Randy’s contribution to the tech industry have also been significant, evidenced by other awards. Randy was the recipient of the Board of Governors InfoComm award for Excellence in Volunteer Leadership in 2004.

Eric Yuan, the CEO and Founder of Zoom Communications (pictured above right), will be receiving the Industry Impact ETF award. Yuan designed Zoom in 2011 to help deliver frictionless collaborative video environments for teams. Zooms UC platform which focuses on the video-first model, is continuing to have an incredible impact on the way that enterprise companies communicate. With Eric’s leadership, Zoom became one of the highest-performing IPOs in the technology industry in 2019. Eric has also been named one of Business Insider’s most powerful people in Enterprise Tech. He is also the number 1 CEO of a large company according to Glassdoor (2018).

Celebrating Some of the Biggest Names in UC

Both Eric and Randy have come a long way over the years, showing incredible innovation and passion for the technology and communication landscape. Randy’s product and industry knowledge helped him to establish critical strategic partnerships, which ensured his business could expand dramatically over the years. His contributions to the industry over a 30-year career make him a true visionary and leader of the collaboration space.

At the same time, Eric has also had a powerful impact on the collaboration landscape. Before founding Zoom, he was the president of engineering at Cisco, where he helped to develop Cisco’s collaboration software. Yuan is the holder of 11 issued patents, and 20 pending – all for real-time collaboration. Eric’s contributions to the collaboration industry will continue to make waves in the space for years to come.

According to the Executive Director of IMCCA, Carol Zelkin, the group has been recognising the biggest names in the collaboration industry for several years now, identifying the individuals that make the most significant, lasting contributions to the industry. IMCCA is keen to welcome the two men to join the rest of the Emerging Technology Fellows that the group has recognised over the years.
