Global visual collaboration company, Kinly recently announced the acquisition of an audiovisual and communications company, MK2. Kinly launched in September 2017, following a merger between Viju and VisionsConnected. Since then, the organisation has been dedicated to strengthening its position in the visual collaboration and AV markets through strategic acquisitions and organic growth.

The purchase of MK2 is an essential step in Kinly’s ongoing development strategy. Over the years, MK2 has emerged as a significant contender in the Netherlands for audio-visual solutions. Many companies throughout Europe count on MK2 for its state-of-the-art communication technology.

Getting Ready to Dominate the Dutch Market

As a combined force, Kinly and MK2 will represent a fantastic opportunity for the Dutch market, offering both IT-driven AV and solutions for visual collaboration. Kinly benefits from the deal by accessing MK2’s 20 years of knowledge in the AV industry. For MK2 customers, access to the Kinly network will mean opportunities to upgrade their communication strategy with managed collaboration solutions and an enhanced cloud platform.

The joint Kinly group in Belgium and the Netherlands has more than 200 employees spread throughout spaces in Breda, Amsterdam, Zwolle, Eindhoven, Ghent, and Breukelen. Following this new acquisition, Kinly will have more than 600 employees across the globe, with offices in the United Kingdom, Norway, Singapore, Belgium, the United States and of course, the Netherlands.

An Ideal Addition to Kinly’s Growth Strategy

Kinly hopes that this acquisition and additional purchases in the years to come will help them to become a more powerful competitor in the market, capable of offering excellent support to both new and existing customers worldwide.

“The acquisition of MK2 is the first acquisition that fits perfectly within our strategy adopted at the end of last year to become a global leader in this market and to support existing and new global customers as well as possible”, said Magnus Ekerot, CEO of Kinly

According to Jeroen van Doorn, and Roel Vermaat, the owners of MK2, the acquisition by Kinly is also a significant growth opportunity for Mk2. The two owners believe that this acquisition will help the company to rapidly expand their current portfolio of visual collaboration solutions, which will help them to better support their customers and differentiate themselves in the current market.
