Celebrations undoubtedly took place in the Pexip headquarters this month, as the company revealed that their Infinity Fusion product had been certified by Microsoft as a Skype for Business Server. Pexip’s Infinity Fusion offering is designed to give customers access to clear and impressive Skype for Business Meetings, while ensuring that calls can be joined by people who aren’t using Skype, through teleconferencing apps.
Pexip collaborated alongside Microsoft to earn their certification for the latest version of the Infinity Fusion, which also includes a gateway mode which will allow Video Teleconferencing Systems (VTCs) to take part within Skype conferences directly. Fusion will also retain the native experience for their end-users, which eliminates the need for expensive training, and lowers the cost of management and implementation.
Introducing Pexip Infinity Fusion
Infinity Fusion by Pexip is intended for use by organisations of any size, though it’s particularly useful for large enterprises and companies. The system can scale to accommodate a wide number of users in various locations and is now certified for on-premise Skype for Business Server deployments.
According to the CEO of Pexip, Asmund O. Fodstad, Pexip is now used by some of the largest companies in the world, offering video interoperability and cross-technology features. The latest certification will help to reinforce the strength of their technology in the market. Microsoft’s Principal GPM, Andrew Bybee stated that Pexip has become a valued partner for Microsoft and that the brand is happy to see that the Infinity Fusion has earned its certification for Skype for Business.
The Pexip Infinity Fusion System addresses many common needs for a range of Microsoft customers. For instance, the key to their certification is the fact that Pexip has been able to offer interoperability that will allow non-Skype users to communicate with their Skype counterparts via video connections.
Beyond the core tests for Skype for Business inter-operability, Infinity Fusion also has a range of deployment solutions to offer. The portfolio allows it to run for a large range of locations and users. The system can be deployed to run entirely on-premise, or in a cloud such as that offered by Microsoft Azure. Additionally, there are options available for hybrid deployments too.
