Vonage recently announced new updates to the Vonage Business Communications environment for Microsoft Teams. The solution provides more than 50 enterprise-grade calling features, as well as MMS and SMS capabilities through direct routing. With this offering, users can provide employees with the tools they need for anywhere work.

The Vonage Business Communications (VBC) solution for Teams launched initially in 2020 to provide companies with the collaboration capabilities they need in an evolving workspace. The solution brings everything teams need into a shared workspace, within the Teams app. According to EVP for Engineering and Product at Vonage, Savinay Berry, the latest enhancements to the service will now give customers access to over 50 premium features for calling.

Users can now unlock better calling features, CRM integrations, contact centre connections, and SMS or MMS data to unlock better workflows.

The Latest Version of VBC for Teams

The VBC service for Microsoft Teams was designed by Vonage to assist global companies in adopting Microsoft Teams as their go-to solution for collaboration. The system enables users in unifying communications within Teams, offering access to a host of bonus capabilities.

The latest updates to VBC for Teams include enhanced calling capabilities, taken from the VBC unified communications offering. This ensures that companies can access all of the top-level calling technology they need to be successful in a new remote landscape. VBC for Teams also allows businesses to communicate and collaborate more effectively with customers worldwide, with local numbers in over 100 countries.

Further updates include SMS and MMS based collaboration tools for internal and external communications in North America. The solution is embedded into the Microsoft Teams environment and supported throughout operating systems and devices.

Vonage also announced new integration options with contact centre technology, as well as 10 of the top CRMs on the market, including Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics. This integration opportunity will remove the need to jump between screens and applications to provide quick access to customer data to teams that need it most.

An Exciting Option for Microsoft Teams Users

By leveraging existing investments, and unlocking the benefits of Vonage Direct Routing, companies can seamlessly embed VBC into their Teams solution, maintain existing numbers, keep phones and other devices on-hand, and take control of their communications solution with collaboration and calling integrated into the experience.

Companies like ClearFreight have already taken advantage of this offering to improve unified communications across the globe. Network and Tech Supervisor, Calvin Hung, said that Vonage’s solution was the only one to meet all of the company’s need with simple and convenient integration with Microsoft Teams.
