Comms provider Maintel has transferred its stock and inventory management to UK channel services firm Agilitas IT Solutions.
Agilitas has been given a five-year contract, with Maintel saying it has an SLA-based service that it can rely on.
βMaintel has collaborated with Agilitas to provide a flexible, automated and well-integrated inventory management service that will enable the company to grow, and enhance the speed of delivery at scale in-line with our ambitious growth plans,β said Maintel.
Maintel is using Agilitasβ inventory-as-a-service system InventoryAssure+. The service provides engineering resources coupled with multi-vendor tech spares to support customers, as well as the nationwide storage and distribution of all project stock.
Agilitasβ as-a-service model means services can be βflexedβ to meet Maintelβs exact requirements both at an operational and commercial level.

Maintel says it can now control costs in line with revenue and scale according to its evolving business model and customer requirements, delivering a pricing model that can be used to retain existing contracts and acquire new customers β a model that is already proving effective following a series of new contract wins, said the vendor.

Last September, Maintel reported flat salesΒ for the six months ending 30 June 2021. It said revenue was Β£53.5m for fiscal H121, compared to Β£53.4m for the same period last time.
It also rebuffed a takeover approach from DaisyΒ at the beginning of last year.
