A well-subscribed and hectic ISE 2023 in Barcelona concluded with various vendors making big announcements and offering their new AV wares and product ranges.

Highlights for ISE 2023 include Cisco showcasing new devices for Teams; DTEN and its new hybrid, all-in-one hardware DTEN D7X range; Poly | HP, Lenovo, Neat and the Biamp and Logitech Partnership. Let’s dive in.

Cisco and Microsoft Teams Partnership Announced at ISE 2023

At ISE 2023, Cisco unveiled new collaboration devices for Microsoft Teams, introducing new microphones for hybrid work.

A partnership between Cisco and Microsoft means the Teams platform will run natively on Cisco collaboration devices such as Cisco Board Pro, Room Bar, and Room Kit Pro. It is expected to be certified next month.

Jeetu Patel, EVP and GM of Security & Collaboration Cisco, said: “The future of work is now, and it’s hybrid, which requires a truly exceptional and inclusive experience that’s not confined by location, device, or meeting platform. With interoperability, flexibility, and security, Cisco brings true audio intelligence to its best-in-class devices and software.”

The Cisco and Microsoft Teams Rooms combination is the default experience supporting joining Webex meetings. The San Jose-based multinational vendor is the first to offer the device with Microsoft Teams Rooms, replete with all the functionality expected without requiring a reboot or reconfiguration by the IT department.

DTEN Delivers All-in-One with D7X Hardware Range

Video conference systems providers DTEN has announced its new hybrid, all-in-one hardware DTEN D7X range at ISE 2023. D7X multi-platform all-in-one video collaboration Solution also won a Best of Show award in the Installation category in Barcelona.

DTEN debuted its D7X Dual and DTEN Vue side cameras; demos of new releases DTEN D7X Windows and Android Editions; and delivered a use case presentation of the company’s product line. Also presented were DTEN D7X Series 55-inch devices with Android and Windows OSs and 75-inch screen-size models.
Also featured was the new DTEN D7X Dual 55-inch configuration with the centre camera in a vertical placement.

Jabra

At ISE 2023, Jabra announced the PanaCast 50 as the ‘PanaCast 50 Video Bar System‘, which comes with built-in android and so natively hosts Microsoft Teams and Zoom Room clients.

The new system has speakers, a microphone, a video camera, an integrated video bar with Android UC processing power, plus a 10.1-inch high-definition touch controller for meeting room controls. It also provides the basic UC functionality for conferencing without requiring a dedicated PC and minimal wiring.

The PanaCast 50 Video Bar System has a unique panoramic 4K multi-camera array with a 180° field of view, which provides full room coverage and a realistic representation of people in the room.

It is also equipped with voice recognition and intelligent algorithms that automatically detect and remove residual echo and static noise, together with an array of eight professional microphones and four powerful speakers in a vibration-free stereo setting.

Biamp and Lenovo Announce Partnership

Biamp revealed it has partnered with Lenovo to provide computing devices to deliver end-to-end meeting room solutions to be a ‘one-stop shop’.

Lenovo ThinkSmart Core and Controller Kits can now be used in bundled solutions for collaboration in spaces ranging from huddle spaces to large boardrooms.

Logitech

Logitech also unveiled its new tabletop camera Logitech Sight, an AI-powered meeting room camera with multi-participant framing that helps remote attendees catch the finer details of live video calls.

The firm also unveiled the docking solution Logitech Booth 2M400 as ‘Logi Dock’, an all-in-one tidy docking station with meeting controls and speakerphone. It was recently included in TIME’s list of the best inventions of 2022, in the productivity category.

Largest Floor Show in Barcelona

Feedback from our monthly UC Microsoft Teams panel confirmed that ISE 2023 proved a busy and productive week for attendees. Estimates for attendance at the event have come in at around 40,000 a day, with a final figure set at 58,107 unique visitors from 155 countries.

Mike Blackman, Managing Director of Integrated Systems Events, stated: “We’ve had unprecedented visitor levels to the show, so much inspiring content and features on display, and ground-breaking visits from the King of Spain on Tuesday and the President of Catalonia on Thursday to add both a royal and a political seal of approval to the show.

Although the attendance figures were up last year with more than a 30% rise, it still didn’t hit the 81,628 total from Amsterdam in 2019. However, this year’s attendance translated to 133,606 visits to what the organisers say was the event’s largest show floor. ISE returns to Barcelona from Tuesday, 30 January, to Friday, 2 February 2024.
