Mersive Technologies has launched its new “Smart App”, which aims to transform almost any Android smart TV or streaming product into a collaboration hub.

Mersive Smart App is compatible with over 2,000 smart TVs and streaming devices, intending to make secure and streamlined content sharing accessible to a broader audience. Mersive highlights that as the inaugural product in the Mersive Collaboration Suite, it is part of a brand-new lineup designed to address the evolving needs of all collaboration spaces, from small meeting rooms to large enterprise installations.

Alan Young, Chief Product Officer at Mersive Technologies, said:

Our vision with Mersive Smart was to create an intuitive and powerful solution that breaks down the barriers to collaboration. As part of our growing portfolio, it sets the stage for a series of upcoming innovations that will empower every type of user, from small teams to large enterprises. Mersive Smart is just the beginning of what we believe will transform how teams connect and share ideas, regardless of their workspace configuration.”

Mersive Smart aspires to offer a straightforward and budget-friendly solution for wireless content sharing, eliminating the need for complex setups. Mersive suggests this makes it perfect for SMEs and applications in education, healthcare, and prosumer markets.

Mersive says users can download Mersive Smart for free from the Google Play Store. Subscription plans start at $144 per year, with additional options available for three—and five-year plans.

More Specifics On Mersive’s Smart App

Mersive Smart’s wireless content-sharing feature seeks to enable users to share content directly from their laptops. Its multi-share function allows multiple users to connect and share content at the same time. Additionally, Mersive promises its mobile device sharing and digital signage features will be available as free updates after launch to enhance its utility further.

Mersive says Smart’s intuitive interface, complete with onscreen guidance, guarantees a hassle-free setup and effortless connectivity for screen sharing—without the need for cables, special keystrokes, or remote controls. Additionally, it includes enterprise-grade cloud management for installations of any size.

Mersive underlines that security is a fundamental aspect of its Smart app. With certifications such as ISO 27001 and HIPAA, as well as SOC 2 Type 1 and 2 attestations, Mersive stresses that users can be confident that Smart—and the entire Mersive Collaboration Suite—protects privacy and secures data through encrypted connections and secure access protocols.

“Last year, the executive team and I committed to a strategic shift—building on our success while expanding our reach to new markets,” added Damian Blazy, CEO of Mersive Technologies.

“The launch of Mersive Smart, along with the upcoming releases in the Mersive Collaboration Suite, reflects the fruits of that effort. We’re delivering cost-effective, scalable, and secure solutions that not only meet the needs of our existing customers but also enable a broader range of organizations to leverage cutting-edge technology for innovation and productivity.”

Neat App Hub and Marketplace Available Now

Mersive isn’t the only collaboration solutions vendor that recently released a compelling app. Last week, Neat announced its “pioneering” App Hub, which is generally available and encompasses an application marketplace.

Nice’s App Hub is pitched as a development platform that features a variety of everyday applications in its newly launched App Marketplace, including workplace experience tools, custom web apps, and shared space collaboration solutions. These App Hub applications can be deployed directly to Neat devices through Neat Pulse, a cloud-based platform that provides comprehensive device management and control.

The Neat App Hub features over two dozen providers, ranging from global market leaders to specialized companies, offering “innovative” applications designed to enhance daily workflows. Neat is also expanding the App Hub through its Developer Program, working with app providers and developers to create new applications.

Solutions such as room and desk booking systems and digital signage apps are already available to customers for use on the Neat Pad, further enriching the platform’s functionality.
