What has been your business/work highlight of 2024 so far?

One of my most memorable moments so far in 2024 has been winning the “Data Driven” award at the Informa Tech. Additionally, I’ve just received news that I’m a finalist for another accolade at this year’s Informa Awards event!

Who is your business hero and why?

I think that everyone has their own definition of what a business hero is and what they aspire to achieve in their professional and personal lives. For me A.C. Bhakti Vendanta Swami Prabhupada,
a spiritualist, inspires me to strive for the best at work without losing focus of my inner soul, its happiness, joy and fulfilment.

What’s the biggest business mistake you’ve made and what did you learn from it?

I used to waste a lot of time taking handwritten notes in multiple notebooks and not having a consistent note-taking habit, wasting valuable time. I realised that by using the right skills, and technology, and organising my thoughts and priorities, I could excel in my job. As an analyst, it is essential to be effective in taking notes and following up. By learning from my mistakes, I have improved my note-taking skills and have become more efficient in my work.

What’s the most inspirational book you’ve ever read and why?

Bhagavad Gita is my go-to book in all situations of life and it inspires me every time I pick it up. It has taught me several business-related skills like having a strong sense of purpose and to be guided by a clear set of values at work. It also inspires me to remain calm and composed in the face of challenges and to make decisions based on rational thinking rather than impulsive reactions. I firmly believe that it helps me in bringing integrity, and compassion to my work.

What’s the biggest challenge you face in your role in 2024?

Travel is my biggest challenge as I struggle to balance work and family priorities when travelling. I wish the UC&C industry could move to more virtual-only events. However, I value the face-to-face interactions with my colleagues, customers, and industry experts at various industry events, trade shows, and conferences, which always bring additional joy.

What technology will have the greatest impact on your business this year and why?

AI is definitely making an impact on the way I work in 2024. I am mostly using generative AI in various applications, especially with Office 365 and Microsoft Teams. I find using AI-enabled features in meeting applications such as meeting summaries, note-taking, transcription etc. very helpful.
