What has been your business/work highlight of 2024 so far?

Who is your business hero and why?

Avishai Sharlin. He is a division president at Amdocs and was my direct boss in the past.
I learned from him a lot about being direct and to the point, to find cracks in walls and turn them into opportunities, and to explain myself better and more clearly to others.

What’s the biggest business mistake you’ve made and what did you learn from it?

Saying no when I was suggested to get an engineering manager for a project as part time role. The person was awesome – she had all the skills needed, but I thought it required a full time manager.
The end result was having a higher up manager do the day to day management and causing the project to falter more than once.
I ended up understanding that I should have said yes.
When you are given an opportunity that isn’t the most optimal one – it might still be the best one available…

What’s the most inspirational book you’ve ever read and why?

Lots of them. Daemon by Daniel Suarez is one of the best scifi books I’ve read. Because it is down to earth, our day and age and too realistic. It leaves you thinking what can be done with what we have today already.

What’s the biggest challenge you face in your role in 2024?

Figuring out the market. There are so many changes taking place that it is hard to keep up and to understand where we are headed exactly.

What technology will have the greatest impact on your business this year and why?

WebRTC as usual – it is what I am dealing with.
