Mobile-first comms specialist Apalo has launched a SIM-only solution that it claims will deliver new opportunities for UC resellers and service providers.

ApaloSIM allows resellers to offer customers out-of-the-box mobile integration with their existing UC solutions without the need for an app. It is fully compatible with any IP PBX/SIP compliant platform and allows communication features that are currently available on the incumbent system to be accessed natively on mobile handsets.

ApaloSIM also lowers the bar of entry from traditional MVNO and MVNE service providers, opening the door to developers of other voice platforms, specialist MVNOs or ‘AltNet’ providers currently offering fixed voice services and looking to add mobile. Distributors of VoIP hardware can also offer the solution alongside traditional SIP devices.

Inbound calls to the mobile number are delivered directly to the platform over a standard SIP trunk, allowing full control of the inbound leg for onward routing to the SIM or any other destination – taking advantage of any additional functionality the system offers.

The solution also supports mobile number porting for quick and easy transfer of existing mobile numbers. Pricing for partners is is simple and all SIMs are priced on the data bundle. Pricing is per-SIM, on a 30-day rolling contract with no minimum term.
