Babble’s aggressive ‘buy and build’ strategy shows no sign of letting up following the acquisition of Activ Technology.
Commenting on the purchase of the Newcastle-based MSP, for an undisclosed fee, Babble Chief Executive, Matt Parker, said that 2021 will have more acquisitions than the last 12 months, adding that the UC and CX provider is on the lookout for more purchases.
The acquisition of Activ is the sixth in the past 12 months and second of 2021, following the purchase of Ultracomms at the start of the year.
Parker said:
“This year we expect to complete more acquisitions as we continue to seek innovative businesses that think the same way as us”
“These acquisitions are necessary for Babble to both grow the capabilities we can provide to our customers and fill our business with the best people in the industry.”
The acquisition is the largest that Babble has undertaken in the last 12 months and is the second since the £90m investment of Graphite Capital at the end of last year.

By purchasing Activ, Babble has expanded its national presence as it continues the ‘buy and build’ strategy, which has been complemented by “robust organic growth” over the last 12 months.
Ian Gillespie, MD at Activ, said: “Joining Babble is an exciting step for Activ.
“They’re incredibly ambitious, and will continue to provide the best technology and expertise to our customers across the UK.”
Parker has previously told UC Today that he plans to double the firms gross income for the third consecutive year in 2021.
