Teams Will be As Big as the Internet

Microsoft Teams is one of the most advanced collaboration experiences on the market today, earning millions of users over the last year. The impact of Microsoft Teams has been so significant, that CEO, Satya Nadella, even thinks it will be as big as “the internet.” When speaking to the Financial Times, Nadella said that Teams has grown relentlessly in the last few years.

More than just a communication and collaboration tool, Satya says that Teams is an “organising layer” and a hub for other services delivered through Microsoft. It’s this ethos that’s helping Teams to become a more comprehensive platform that could rival the operating system or internet browser in terms of business importance.

Microsoft Teams Predictions for 2021

As the world’s most popular UCaaS and collaboration tool right now, Microsoft Teams is the number one platform on everyone’s mind. That’s why our host, Rob Scott spoke with Microsoft MVP and guest Tom Arbuthnot, this week, about what might be coming next. In the latest predictions video for Microsoft Teams, the pair cover expert predictions by some of the biggest tech minds in the world.

The video, which includes a full 12 predictions for Microsoft Teams evolution, features insights from representatives of leading brands like AvePoint, CloudWay, Poly, the Cavell Group, Enable UC, Landis Technologies, and Symity.

AWS Utilises Existing Workflows with CPaaS

In an exclusive interview with VP of Business Applications at AWS, Larry Augustin, we learned that the company has been investing in CPaaS since the delivery of the Chime SDK in 2019. For the AWS environment, communications should happen within the workflow that already exists. The company has created an immersive environment to enable developers in quickly adding new services like screen share, video calling, and more to their mobile or web applications.

AWS notes that CPaaS isn’t just a great way to save time in developing new communication strategies; it can also be a powerful tool for boosting the security of the workplace. In the age of remote working, AWS’ CPaaS solution could gain a lot of growth.

Free Smart Meetings from RingCentral

Leading providers of cloud communication and collaboration solutions, RingCentral, just announced the arrival of RingCentral Glip and Glip Pro for free and immersive video conferencing. The unlimited solution supports high-availability and high-quality audio and video conferencing in the modern workplace.

RingCentral’s fantastic service centres around Smart Video Meetings include innovating capabilities for teams before meetings, during, and even after the conversation. According to the RingCentral team, companies will be able to use Glip to access meetings of up to 24 hours for 100 people without spending a penny. Plus, security is built into the platform from the ground up.

Cisco Introduces Features for All-New Webex

The all-new Webex, revealed towards the end of 2020 by the leading communications company, Cisco, has arrived with a host of new features now available to access. Cisco is promoting the revamp to the best of its ability, with the arrival of multi-language captioning, improved AI and meeting templates, and so much more. Perhaps the biggest change to Webex comes at a higher level still, of course.

Webex is now bringing its siloed unified communication components into a single platform, under the same umbrella. This will be a powerful step towards a more simplified portfolio for Cisco customers who want to take full advantage of Webex.
