Cox Business has announced the creation of its new UC solution, brought about through a partnership with RingCentral.

“By combining the Cox Business fiber-powered network with RingCentral’s capabilities, we empower companies of all sizes to streamline their operations, enhance employee productivity, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and drive long-term growth,”

Mark Greatrex, President of Cox Communications, said.

Available today, Cox Business Connect with RingCentral aims to enhance its customers’ communications through new communication channels and AI enhancements.

What the UC System Will Look Like

Cox is the largest private broadband company in America.

It provides connections and advanced cloud and managed IT services for nearly seven million homes and businesses.

Through its Business arm, Cox provides a broad commercial services portfolio including advanced cloud, managed IT, and fiber-based network solutions that create connected environments in industries like hospitality, real estate, and hospitals.

The new partnership combines Cox’s high-speed connectivity and business solutions with RingCentral’s platform.

Powered by RingCentral’s flagship RingEX, Cox Business Connect with RingCentral offers customers access to an enterprise cloud communications platform that provides HD video and audio calls, chat, SMS, and fax as a unified experience from a single application.

Additionally, customers can take advantage of RingCentral’s AI capabilities in areas like conversations, providing meeting transcriptions, closed captions, summaries, and meeting highlights.

“We are thrilled to partner with Cox Business to deliver AI-powered business communications solutions that help organizations modernize their systems, streamline operations, and achieve greater business outcomes,”

Vlad Shmunis, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of RingCentral, said.

Cox Business Contact Center, available later this year, will be powered by RingCentral’s RingCX.

This AI-first, cloud-based contact center solution aims to make it simpler for businesses to establish and operate contact centers.

Available through a single pane of glass, it will equip businesses with AI-driven omnichannel capabilities across 20+ digital channels, AI quality management, CRM integrations, conversational insights, and coaching.

Easy to deploy and simple to use, businesses will have the tools they need to enable exceptional customer, agent, and supervisor experiences.

“By offering AI-first, cloud-based unified communications and contact center capabilities on a single, seamless platform, we unlock the true power of integrated workflows that improve efficiency and elevate customer and employee experiences,” Shmunis said.

RingCentral’s AI Endeavors

Cox reaching out to RingCentral to help them introduce not only CCaaS abilities to their solution, but AI, is a sign of the UC company’s recent commitment to AI innovation.

Last month, RingCentral threw its hat into the Agentic AI arena by announcing its new AI Receptionist solution.

The new solution can automatically pick up and address customer voice calls, answer their queries, take bookings, and reroute calls to a human agent all without intervention.
