Flotek has created future growth plans, which include a buy and build acquisition strategy, and it has chosen strategic partnerships with Microsoft to help its SME business clients migrate to cloud technologies.
The company has also completed its management trio, hiring Malcolm Holland as the company’s managing director. Holland has a background in large IT and telecom support teams and Flotek believes he will ensure an excellent level of service.
Jay Ball, CEO of Flotek, said: “For large corporations, the IT digital transformation has already begun, but many SMEs in the area are unaware of the changes and technology available to them.
“Our focus is on ensuring these local businesses adopt next-generation technologies to have an improved level of dedicated care and support, which will help deliver growth, scalability, and cost savings.
“With huge need around security and cyber awareness in the workplace, we want to be the go-to for protecting customers, ensuring they have the right policies and systems in place.
“It’s exciting to be re-joining the regional market with Flotek Group, as there’s a real opportunity to supercharge SMEs with high-quality, scalable services, bringing together trusted technology in the cloud.”
Flotek’s services included comms solutions, cloud boosters, and network packages. IT services have now become the latest addition.
Managed IT support is listed as £19.95 per month on the company’s website and offers unlimited technical and strategic support available anytime.
Other key features of Flotek’s managed technical support package are IT monitoring, patching and updates, audits, server management, peripherals, advanced cyber security, and technical and strategic advice.
David Middleton, Financial Director at Flotek, said: “We see there being an opportunity for consolidation where we can ensure customers are always receiving the very best products and services whilst retaining the local identity and presence that SMEs in particular value from their technology provider.
“This approach will in turn support SMEs’ growth strategies, unlocking the next phase of business development and driving regional economic performance.”
From a unified communications perspective, Flotek has a number of offerings, such as its ‘Flo UC Hosted VOIP’ cloud communication and collaboration solution.
Flo Anywhere is another UC option that provides an office line to a mobile phone, freeing workers to leave the office when required.
Flotek also enables companies to consolidate voice and collaboration on mobile and desktop via Microsoft Teams.
The Flo Cloud Contact Centre is another solution on offer which provides a platform for sales and support teams to connect with customers. It includes call management and real-time insights.
The company’s final major comms offering is its Flo Mobile Network. Advertised at £13.95 per month, Flo Mobile purports to be limitless and with no long-term commitments.
Malcolm Holland, Managing Director at Flotek, said: “With the disruption of the last few years, businesses have had to evolve to facilitate remote and flexible working arrangements.
“It’s therefore crucial that these teams have access to technologies that not only support the way they work but enhance how they operate.
“There’s a real need for an MSP that can guarantee efficient and cyber-secure solutions so that SMEs in South Wales are ready for the challenges the digital transformation poses, and that’s what Flotek will deliver for clients.”
“We’re excited for Flotek’s future; we’ve built a strong foundation, a well-structured management team and a robust strategy for organic and acquisition growth.
“The team is committed to helping regional SMEs embrace cloud technology through a structured digital transformation plan and reach their full potential whilst maximising the opportunities for the Flotek team to share in the business’ success.”
Flotek’s CEO previously founded the largest and most successful telecommunications company in Wales, according to Flotek’s press release. The Cardiff business scene is not, therefore, new territory for Ball.
The financial department is headed by David Middleton, who brings five years of corporate finance advisory experience and expertise in SME ICT and telecoms companies.
