GoTo intends to acquire the Mobile Device Management (MDM) Company Miradore to expand its GoTo Resolve IT support platform.Β Β

The added capabilities for GoTo Resolve will enable IT teams from small and medium-sized businesses to receive greater device management capabilities across all commonly used operating systems and mobile devices.Β Β

GoTo is set to acquire Miradore from a Nordic technology investor, Standout Captial, among other shareholders.Β Β

Mike Kohlsdorf, CEO of GoTo, said: β€œMiradore’s scalable, SMB-focused solutions are a natural fit for GoTo and our customers, and we’re extremely excited to be working together.Β Β

β€œNot only does it provide a leading platform for mobile and macOS device management, Miradore also brings a talented team of employees, more than 2,700 customers and MSP distributors, and over 89,000 user accounts across 180 countries.Β Β

β€œAll of this will further bolster GoTo’s internal talent and market potential within the fast-growing MDM market, which is expected to surpass $28 billion by 2027.”

According to GoTo, roughly two-thirds of operating systems worldwide are made up of iOS, Android, and macOS, all of which are compatible with Miradore’s technology.Β Β

As a result, IT teams working in hybrid working setups will be able to support and manage their mobile devices more easily.Β Β

New security features will also be amalgamated with GoToResolve’s enterprise-grade encryption and zero-trust security. IT departments will gain new controls, including lockdown capabilities for new bring-your-own and company-issued devices to reduce data exposure.Β Β

Communications, remote support, desktop management, Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM), and Miradore’s MDM capabilities will all be contained within a unified admin system which GoTo believe will save customers time and money.Β Β

The unification and simplification of features into a single offering aligns with GoTo’s plan toΒ remove the complexity from hybrid working solutions.Β Β

Simo Salmensuu, CEO of Miradore, said: β€œOur goal at Miradore has always been to help organisations secure and manage their IT devices smarter and more efficiently.Β Β

β€œJoining together with GoTo, a global leader in flexible work and IT Support solutions, gives us the opportunity to collaborate on the technology and resources to take that mission to the next level.Β Β

β€œOur customers will see tremendous benefits from the combination of GoTo Resolve and Miradore’s capabilities in the months and years ahead.”

GoTo has a number of offerings for flexible and hybrid working companies. Aside from GoTo Resolve, it also has GoTo Connect, Rescue, and Central.Β Β

UC Today recently spoke to Matthew Rose, Product Marketing Manager at GoTo, about how it isΒ helping SMBs with GoTo Connect.Β Β

The company designs its software for unified communications and collaborations end-users, as well as IT management and support staff.Β Β

GoTo says it currently has nearly 800k customers and 3,000 employees, and its annual revenue exceeds $1 billion.
