RingCentral has acquired cloud encryption start upΒ KinditeΒ for an undisclosed sum.Β Β 

Tel Aviv-basedΒ KinditeΒ was founded in 2018 andΒ specialisesΒ inΒ cryptographic technologies that mitigate and reduce security and privacy risks to applications in the cloud.Β Its securityΒ capabilitiesΒ will be integrated into RingCentral’s platform.Β 

RingCentral’s Chief Information Security Officer, Heather Hinton, stated:Β β€œSecurity and reliability are paramount in enabling employees to work from anywhere.Β 

β€œWith this team’s leading-edge security technology, we will accelerate our ability to deliver end-to-end encryption and continue to enhance our commitment to deliver the highest level of security capabilities for our global communications platform, benefiting customers everywhere.” 

Kindite’sΒ platformΒ ncludesΒ a unique set of cryptographic key orchestration technologies which deliver enhanced, security, privacy and compliance, enabling cloud applications to process encrypted data without decryption.Β
