In an attempt to continue moving up the market, RingCentral has continued to build up their enterprise support organization, alongside global infrastructure, and the efforts seem to be paying off.

Recently, RingCentral announced that they have brought Derrell James, industry Veteran, into the mix as an SVP of professional services. James was responsible for Avaya’s $2 billion strategic services business, and he’s joining with RingCentral at a time where more requests are being made for professional services from larger companies who want to engage the cloud.

In addition to developing their professional services team, RingCentral is also expanding support for global customers. The organisation is now serving deployments in the UK, Germany, France, and a range of other countries. By building on the RingCentral Office system, multinational enterprises can connect employees across the globe, so enterprises maintain a local presence, wherever they are.

RingCentral Continues to Grow

In another recent announcement, RingCentral also reported that over 700 multinational enterprises have begun using RingCentral Global Office. This represents a 75% increase in a number of people using the cloud communications solutions.

Additionally, on the earnings call for RingCentral’s first quarter, the COO drew attention to the channel’s growing focus on winning the business of enterprises for both their Office, and Global offerings. A build in channel acceptance is giving the brand an opportunity to reach out to more enterprise customers than ever before, and channel partner involvement is causing huge amounts of growth.

To evidence RingCentral’s success even further, the enterprise and mid-market segments now account for over $115 million in business, according to the SVP of finance and strategy, Mitesh Dhruv. That means an 86% overall growth, as well as around 45% growth in RingCentral office sales.

Reaching Enterprises around the World

In an attempt to continue building on the multinational growth it’s developed with RingCentral Global office, the brand recently announced an expansion to its footprint in Latin America and Asia Pacific, which will include new data centres in Brazil and Japan. As in other areas of the RingCentral system, these data centres will feature direct peering connections with Tier 1 carriers and service providers.

Today, RingCentral operates 17 data centres across four different regions. What’s more, Global Office is now available across 32 countries in APAC, European, and North American regions.

As the brand continues to grow, RingCentral is also planning on offering in-country versions of the RingCentral Office product for Latin American and APAC markets, just as it has already done in Europe. With local versions of the platform, the company will give enterprises a chance to offer in-country billing and purchasing in local currencies, so that RingCentral can establish itself as a powerful global presence.
