Slack has recovered from a disruption that saw users of the platformΒ report difficultiesΒ connectingΒ and sending messages.Β
The collaboration vendor reported that the outage was due to a part of itsΒ infrastructure not being properly provisionedΒ resulting in theΒ platformΒ unable to handle the traffic.Β
βWe discovered part of our infrastructure wasnβt provisioned appropriately, so it experienced performance issues and was unable to handle all the traffic. We intervened to make the needed capacity changes in order to resolve the trouble,β Slack stated.Β

Users first reported the issues to the website Down Detector, with 53 per cent stating they were having difficultiesΒ sending messages on the serviceΒ andΒ 43 per cent reporting that they were having connectionΒ issues. Three per cent of users claimed they were having difficultiesΒ sending files on the platform.Β
This is not the first outage Slack has experienced this year. In January,Β an outage affected users around the world trying to connect or use theΒ service.Β
