ZeeVee has said it will introduce what it describes as the “AV industry’s first AV over IP encoder” at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2024.

The new Audio-Visual over Internet Protocol (AV over IP) encoder model for 1Gb networks, ZyPerUHD60-2EMP, includes a built-in comprehensive management and security interface.
It will be showcased beside the AV over IP and coaxial solutions provider’s other ZyPerUHD60 models, plus its full range of ZyPer4K 10Gb SDVoE encoders and decoders.
Together, ZeeVee believes they make up the market’s broadest IP-based video distribution solutions offering, which can facilitate all project sizes and complexities.

The integration of ZeeVee’s updated ZyPer Management Platform (ZMP 3.x) into the new encoder, as well as the embedded ZMP software, will operate an AVoIP system with improved account, network, and GUI application guardrails without needing to acquire more components.
As with other ZMP format offerings, this unit allows for straightforward video wall creations and an autodiscovery capability that makes every ZyPer appliance viewable. What is more, it minimises the required rack space and cost of the AV system.
The new system also effectively reproduces compressed 1080p HD and full 4K with ultra-low latency over 1Gb networks like all the ZyPerUHD60 models.
ZeeVee says it is perfect for mission-critical apps in enterprises, higher education, healthcare, and government sectors.
Other ZeeVee products due to be on display at ISE 2024 are its ZyPer4K-XS SDVoE encoders and decoders, which represent cost-effective solutions for the sharing and switching of uncompressed 720p, 1080p HD, Ultra HD, and 4K content, control, and audio using 10Gb Ethernet switches.
These models have lightweight but strong chassis that allow them to be put nearly anywhere, while their fanless thermal management technology prevents them from overheating with minimal noise being produced.
Art Weeks, ZeeVee’s Director of Product Management, is due to host an educational session at ISE 2024 called “Advanced Imaging: Multiviews and Video Walls in the Zee Vee AVoIP Ecosystem”.
The program will offer an overview of the ways in which integrators can utilise ZeeVee’s ZyPer Management Platform to create multiview and video walls without needing additional hardware.
ZeeVee explains why AV over IP solutions are so important for integrators in an executive summary of its white paper: “Failing to offer suitable AV over IP solutions will result in integrators and integration companies marginalising their businesses to a shrinking segment of the systems market.
“Competitive pressure will be another factor pushing the market toward AV over IP solutions.
