How Has Zoom Kicked Off 2025?
Earlier this month, Zoom introduced updates to its Team Chat, featuring a redesigned sidebar designed to enhance user experience and boost productivity. The updates leverage AI tools and customisation options, enabling users to streamline communication, personalise their workspace, and complete time-saving admin tasks more efficiently.
“With Zoom Team Chat, you can do cross-product work and be more productive with Zoom Workplace’s AI-first products like Zoom Docs, Zoom Meetings, and Zoom Whiteboard,” said Smita Hashim, Chief Product Officer of Zoom. “Our new Team Chat sidebar design takes this to the next level by empowering users to collaborate smarter and customise their workspace to fit their preferred workflow.”
Meanwhile, Zoom reportedly kicked off the year by planting a flag in Microsoft‘s back garden by signing the lease for a new office in Bellevue, Washington.
A recent report by real estate firm Broderick Group reveals that Zoom has signed a 19,085-square-foot lease at the Symetra Center, a prominent 25-story office tower in Bellevue. This new office places Zoom strategically near Microsoft’s headquarters in Redmond, with Google also maintaining a strong presence in the greater Seattle area.
