Zoomβs investment arm, Ventures, has confirmed a significant investment in the healthcare AI business Suki, progressing the collaboration giantβs ambitions to develop a Workplace for Clinicians.
The investment expands upon Zoom and AI healthcare collaboration business Sukiβs partnership, which was announced in October. The partnership entails the integration of AI-driven clinical notes into Zoomβs Workplace for Clinicians offering, which is tailored toΒ improving user experience and patient care.
Suki will join Zoom Venturesβ growing AI investment portfolio, which includes AI companies like Anthropic and CoreWeave. Following its $70 million Series D funding round announced in October, Suki has raised a total of $168 million to date.

Zoom isnβt the only collaboration colossus Suki has partnered with recently as it continues to expand at an accelerated rate. Last month, the company unveiled a partnership with Google, which Suki says further establishes it as the industryβs first end-to-end clinical AI assistant.
By utilising Google Cloudβs Vertex AI platform, Suki introduced new features, such as patient summaries and Q&A, to accelerate the clinical decision-making process and alleviate information overload for clinicians.

More Details On Zoom And Sukiβs Partnership
Zoom is partnering with Suki to leverage its AI-powered platform, Suki Platform, to automate the creation of clinical notes and introduce advanced AI features into Zoomβs healthcare solutions, namely Zoom Workplace For Clinicians.
Zoom and Suki stress that the integration is designed to streamline workflows, enhance the user experience, and ultimately improve patient care outcomes. The Suki Platform enables organisations of all sizes to rapidly develop sophisticated AI tools with minimal technical expertise. By powering ambient clinical documentation, Suki plans to enhance Zoomβs telehealth and in-person visits.
With nearly one million clinicians across the US already benefiting from its capabilities, the platform is well-positioned to significantly impact the healthcare industry.

In autumn, Zoom announced that Zoom Workplace for Healthcare would be launched in Q4 of FY25. Additionally, Zoom plans to release Zoom Workplace for Clinicians and a custom AI Companion for Healthcare add-on in the first half of 2025.
The AI Companion will offer healthcare-specific customisations, including a healthcare glossary for meeting summaries and in-meeting queries, access to extended information from trusted data sources like EHRs, and personal coaching features. These enhancements aim to boost the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare professionals.

The partnership aims to strengthen Zoomβs UC and collaboration portfolio by integrating Alvariaβs compliance-driven contact centre software. This collaboration seeks to provide contact centres with advanced tools to enhance customer engagement and optimise operational efficiency.

According to a recent report by real estate firm Broderick Group, Zoom has signed a lease for 19,085 square feet at the Symetra Center, a prominent 25-story office tower in Bellevue. This new office location strategically positions Zoom near Microsoftβs headquarters in Redmond, with Google also maintaining a significant presence in the greater Seattle area.
