Zoom has announced that itβs surpassed two million licenses for Zoom Rooms.
In Zoomβs latest earnings call, the launch of its AI-powered, unified platform, Workplace, helped catalyse prosperous quarters for several of Zoomβs products, including Zoom Rooms. The businessβs year-over-year revenues saw three percent growth, above the guidance for the quarter.
Zoomβs Rooms licences milestone was among several operational successes that the vendor celebrated, including now having five customers with 100,000 or more Zoom Phone seats and 700,000 AI Companion licenses activated since its arrival eight months ago.
Eric Yuan, Founder and CEO at Zoom, said during the earnings call:
Our Spaces portfolio has expanded from Zoom Rooms into integrated adjacencies like Workplace Reservation, Visitor Management, and Digital Signage. As of the end of Q1, the cumulative number of Zoom Rooms licenses purchased was over 2 million.β
Zoom is emphasising the impact of its workplace management services as it continues to expand beyond its core meetings and collaboration products. Yuan noted that in the past 12 months, Zoom has provisioned over 100,000 desks in Workspace Reservations to support in-office work. Yuan highlighted businesses such as Capital One, Flex, BAYADA Home Health Care, and Cooley use Zoom Rooms and Workspace Reservation to support their globally dispersed hybrid workforces and optimise in-office time.
Yuan highlighted its Workvivo integration, which affirms this commitment to facilitating seamless hybrid work. A βmajor telcoβ that bought 100,000 seats signed up to Workvivo this quarter.
Yuan also celebrated the strengthening of Zoomβs channel partnerships. He explained that Average Selling Prices (ASPs) are rising, driven by the popularity of Zoomβs higher-tier packages. These packages enable agents and managers to leverage AI with features like AI Expert Assist, Workforce Management, and Quality Management.
Zoomβs Contact Center milestones are also eye-catching. Zoom Contact Center now has 90 customers with over $100,000 in ARR β illustrating 246 percent year-over-year growth. Its FedRAMP moderate authorisation allows US government agencies and entities to leverage Contact Center while having launched critical social channels such as WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger with Zoom Phone integrations, enabling direct transfers between agents and other departments.
Yuan stressed that Zoom has seen βstrong growth in the number of deals where we have beat or displaced a Gartner top four CCaaS playerβ. Major League Baseball, for example, expanded its partnership by integrating Zoom Quality Management into its Zoom Contact Center deployment. Health Nonprofit Centerstone expanded Zoom Phone and added Zoom Contact Center to utilise AI to provide better care and Zoom Team Chat to streamline communications within a unified ecosystem.
βZoom Workplace exists alongside and is designed to seamlessly integrate with our business services, including Zoom Events, Revenue Accelerator, Contact Center, Virtual Agent, and others,β Yuan added. βZoom Contact Center, launched only two years ago, is ready for prime time.β

What Other Zoom News Has Happened Recently?
Last month, Zoom Workplace, the game-changing platform Yuan celebrated in the most recent earnings call, became generally available.
Initially announced at Enterprise Connect in March, Workplace introduces new features designed to help users rethink teamwork, foster connections, and enhance productivityβall within the familiar Zoom environment and powered by its flagship AI Companion assistant.
Meanwhile, last week, Meta announced it is shuttering its enterprise communications business Workplace while recommending customers migrate to Workvivo By Zoom as a ready-made alternative.
To assist with customer transitions, Meta is partnering with Workvivo as its preferred migration partner. Workplace from Meta and Workvivo will provide migration tools, and Workvivo will offer additional implementation services at no extra cost to support customersβ transition.
βSince Workvivo joined the Zoom family, weβve seen how powerful this platform is at engaging workforces and bringing culture to life β especially for frontline employees who may not have a desk or even an email address,β said YuanΒ following the news. βWe are excited to support Workplace from Metaβs customers and help them reach their goals of reaching and engaging employees β whether theyβre desk or frontline workers.β
