Computacenter has become the first Microsoft Surface Authorised Service Partner in key EMEA regions.
The accreditation will see Computacenter provide in-country warranty support, repair, and maintenance for enterprise Surface and small-screen devices.
The new service – initially covering Microsoft’s enterprise customers in the UK before expanding to France, Germany and the Netherlands – will see cases of devices requiring repair or replacement handled by Computacenter.
As a result of the accreditation, customers receiving support can expect a quicker turnaround of devices because of Computacenter’s integration centres, the reseller said, allowing devices needing repairs to be serviced locally.
“We are delighted to be selected by Microsoft as their Authorised Service Partner for Surface in the UK” Mark Lovejoy, Director of Technology Partnering at Computacenter, said.
“This is in recognition of our long-term success together in supporting our joint customers, as well as the comprehensive and unique service offerings we have built to meet the most demanding needs of our clients”
All customers who use Computacenter as their technology sourcing partner for Microsoft Surface solutions will have the added benefit of a unified point of contact, simple delivery system, and bespoke configuration capability, Computacenter said.
Computacenter also said that customers can reduce their carbon footprint by having their devices repaired at Computacenter’s integration centres, rather than having them shipped back to their country of origin.
“We look forward to delivering high-quality in-country support to our valued enterprise Surface and Small Screen Device customers in cooperation with Computacenter in the UK,” Mark Smith, General Manager of Microsoft Solutions, added.
“This new agreement will see customers receive fully-accredited after-sales care for their devices whilst concurrently helping them to achieve their Environmental Social and Governance targets.”
