Colt has made its cloud voice solution ‘Operator Connect’ available to resellers.
Resellers can now offer their customers Colt’s fully managed enterprise-grade workplace collaboration software and cloud voice services via Teams.

The Microsoft Gold partner and digital infrastructure company Colt believes that the benefits for resellers include a boost to revenues and enhanced customer experiences.
Peter Coppens, VP of Infrastructure and Connectivity Solutions, Colt Technology Services, elaborated on the advantages Microsoft Operator Connects could bring to resellers: “The fantastic growth potential in the cloud voice market presents exciting opportunities for resellers to develop new revenue streams, with minimal upfront investment in systems and platforms.”
Extending Microsoft Operator Connect to resellers gives them the chance to take advantage of this growth potential, supported by a Microsoft-certified partner with scale and expertise.”
Operator Connect for Resellers
According to Colt, Microsoft Operator Connect reseller partners will gain complete digital administration and automation capabilities and access to the Microsoft Teams Admin Centre.
Changes to services can be made with a few clicks, meaning resellers can provide Colt’s “flexible, high-performance” customer experiences across thirteen European countries. The company’s service is fully compliant with European regulations.
Operator Connect resellers are also supported by Colt’s team, who are trained in both technical and regulatory matters.
From an end-customer perspective, cloud-based voice services enable a more productive and connected remote workforce with the same digital services at their fingertips as employees working from an office.
Moreover, as this is a cloud-based solution, there is no hardware to maintain and no need to replace components. It is also possible to quickly respond to the changing needs of the market, such as scaling up during peak times.
With a pay-as-you-go pricing model, it is easier to manage costs and cut down on unnecessary energy usage, which can, therefore, assist in meeting sustainability goals.
A ‘Microsoft Gold Partner’
On its website, Colt commented on its partnership with Microsoft: “Colt and Microsoft have been working closely together to create a best-in-class, modern calling experience underpinned by agile, high-bandwidth connectivity.
“Microsoft has now selected Colt to be part of the Operator Connect launch as a trusted Microsoft Gold Partner.”
It also summarises what makes it stand out from the crowd as an Operator Connect provider:
As a Microsoft Gold partner, Colt Intelligent Communications brings together the power of Microsoft’s cloud productivity applications with enterprise communications, to offer you a quad-play integrated solution.”
The company then shares a list of some of its stand-out features, which include a pan-European service, built-in compliance, flexibility and scalability, easy implementation, a ‘one-stop shop’, guaranteed performance, built-in security, and 24/7 support.
Global management consultants McKinsey predicted that the cloud could be valued at as much as three trillion dollars by 2030, which could entail major revenue opportunities for resellers.
Reinforcing the shift to cloud service, the same researchers found that half of European businesses are either leading a “large-scale migration” to the cloud or building applications and capabilities to add to it.
