BlueJeans has launched a new video conferencing plan that allows up to 25 people to meet for free.
BlueJeans Basic gives people unlimited meetings with no time limit, as well as a host of other features to drive productivity.
Chris Lewter, VP and GM, BlueJeans by Verizon, said:Β βAt BlueJeans weβre always looking at ways we can be better partners to and for our customers.
βWe also realize there is no one-size-fits-all approach to business, just like one size doesnβt really fit all when it comes to the clothes we wear.
To better fit the needs of individuals and small businesses that may not require enterprise-level services, weβre excited to expand on our BlueJeans Meetings platform with a solution that emphasizes the most important basicsβbetter audio quality and HD video reliabilityβto help them grow their business.β
BlueJeans touted the user experience of its platform, citing research was found 95 percent of respondents think itβs easy for SMBs to use than its competitors, with 94 percent finding it more reliable.
It also claimed BlueJeans Basic has enterprise-grade security features, including AES 256-bit encryption, waiting rooms, screen sharing controls and hard mute capability for meeting hosts.
Aside from the meeting experience, the free offering includes desktop and mobile apps, calendar integrations, breakout rooms, file sharing, polling functionality and annotations.
BlueJeans Basic is the lowest tier of BlueJeansβ three packages, with Pro and Enterprise including extra features.Β Basic, for example, does not allow users to record or transcribe meetings.
In comparison, Zoomβs free tier allows up to 100 participants to meet for 40 minutes, while Teams allows the same number of people to meet for an hour.
