Cisco and Kollective Technology have partnered to provide live video events for customers, partners, and employees.
With the addition of Kollective’s eCDN (Enterprise Content Delivery Network), Cisco customers can scale live video events to tens of thousands of users, without bandwidth, network congestion, or user experience concerns.
Kollective Technology describes itself as “the leading enterprise content delivery network provider”.
Kevin Adamson, Solutions Partnerships leader at Cisco, said:
“As Cisco continues to expand its collaboration ecosystem, the technology, and capability Kollective brings to our customers and partners is critical.
“We are excited to have them join SolutionsPlus and to see how this partnership develops.”
The Kollective smartECDN solution offers coverage to meet all video delivery challenges, with delivery methods available via a self-service onboarding portal.
Kollective utilises machine learning to automate content delivery over enterprise networks and simultaneously protects applications and network services.
It includes topology management, anomaly detection, suggestive analytics, and network modelling to simplify network management and guarantee optimal network efficiency.
Adamson called the new partner solution “cost-effective” and a means to ensure “alignment, transparency, and inclusivity” within its customers’ organisations.
According to Kollective, its solution can reduce the network impact of live video webcasts by up to 99 percent.
Furthermore, it provides a comprehensive list of front-end video solution integrations, including Microsoft Teams, Vimeo, BlueJeans, Touchcast, GlobalMeet, Kaltura, Qumu, and more.
These are available to all Cisco customers through its turnkey self-service portal.
The solution is compliant with GDPR and SOC2 regulations, and it is available in six languages.
Kollective and Cisco will also be offering generally available integrations to securely scale Webex webinars and Webex events starting in summer 2023.
Over 260 global organisations and 50,000 worldwide offices have already deployed Kollective, including the world’s largest manufacturers, financial services, healthcare companies, energy providers, government organisations, and more.
Dan Vetras, CEO of Kollective, commented: “Cisco and Kollective are forever changing the way collaboration will be delivered across enterprise networks.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Cisco to provide new and existing customers unrivaled scalability, reliability, and network protection for their live video collaboration events.”
Kollective will be attending Cisco Live 2023 in Las Vegas from June 4 – 8th. Experts will be available at the Kollective booth to discuss its new partnership with Cisco and how they are “changing the way enterprise networks deliver collaboration”.
Cisco announced last month that it will introduce air-gapping to Webex in 2024 to address national security concerns.
The air-gapping solution will include a U.S.-based cloud environment isolated from public networks, which will only be accessible to staff with the necessary security authorisations.
When the data is successfully ‘air gapped’, it means it cannot be accessed, modified, or destroyed by attackers.
Earlier in April, Webex completed its seventh integration with CallCabinet by adding its call recording solutions.
As a result, the compliance recording specialists, CallCabinet, now have one of the few solutions that provide comprehensive integrations for Cisco cloud, on-premise, and contact centre platforms.
Previously, CallCabinet has integrated solutions with Webex Contact Center, Cisco HCS, UCCE, UCCX, UCM, and UCM-C Dedicated Instance.
