Just a few months after HARMAN Professional Solutions shocked the market with an announcement of 650 layoffs, the company are once again making headlines for their new product, designed with Samsung. The “Samsung-HARMAN” huddle room portfolio is intended to target small and mid-sized companies with excellent quality audio and visual connectivity.

According to the merged companies, they’ll be connecting the top-of-the-range collaboration services developed by HARMAN with the industry-leading displays of Samsung, to offer solutions to the marketplace that are perfect for those small huddle room spaces. According to statistics, this will give Samsung-HARMAN a market of around 50 million conference rooms to tap into.

Harnessing the Huddle Room

The new release is something of a surprise for those who considered HARMAN to be in a less-than-ideal situation this year, but that doesn’t make it any less of a strategic move for the company, who have been hoping to enhance their offerings in the collaboration space. According to the Senior VP for HARMAN professional solutions, Samsung’s top-level visual technology should work perfectly with HARMAN’s audio and video collaboration services, to give the modern huddle space the connectivity it needs.

The fully-integrated meeting systems package will give companies access to everything they could possibly need for efficient, effective, and seamless meetings. Not only does the quick-to-launch strategy mean that you can set up a meeting faster than ever, but you can also tap into plenty of confidence for your conference strategy thanks to video support, and document sharing facilities.

What to Expect from the Huddle Room Solutions

Since, even in the huddle room space, manufacturers know that there’s no one-size-fits-all option for collaboration, Samsung-HARMAN are delivering four different options for their customers to choose from. The first, standard option is designed specifically for communal workspaces and huddle rooms, using a Samsung DC Series display with the HARMAN AMX Sereno conferencing camera and microphone.

If you’re looking for something a little more advanced, you can also try:

  1. The Premium Huddle Room: A more versatile version of the standard huddle room system, complete with a Samsung QMH Series display and AMX Acendo conferencing sound bar and camera from HARMAN. The wide-angle camera in this setup is perfect for diverse and active meeting room environments
  2. The Enterprise Huddle Room: A more premium design for customer-facing collaboration strategies, the Enterprise product comes with all the features of the Premium solution, along with the AMX Acendo Core communication platform from HARMAN. The communication platform delivers document viewing, screen sharing, and one-touch Skype for Business launching
  3. The Enterprise “Plus” Huddle Room: Finally, the “Plus” option contains an upgraded display in the form of the “Samsung PMF-BC” touch-screen display. This touchscreen enablement creates a more immersive conference calling experience, eliminating the need for mice and keyboards

A Simple Huddle Room Strategy

The range of available Huddle options from Samsung-HARMAN is designed to suit customers in any circumstances, with any budget. Depending on what you want to get out of your Huddle experience, you can choose from anything from a simple conferencing service to a fully immersive experience.

The huddle room range will be available in the first quarter of 2018, exclusively for US channel partners. For now, we don’t know for sure whether global availability will emerge or not. According to Samsung-HARMAN, this new development is just the first step in creating a more productive communication experience for the business world – ideal for any price point.
