RingCentral has launched a webinar solution as an add-on to its Message, Video, Phone (MVP) platform.
RingCentral Webinar, which is currently available as a free beta, has been designed initially to cater for events such as internal all-hands meetings and social occasions.
More functionality to support the lead generation lifecycle is set to follow in the summer.
Kira Makagon, Chief Innovation Officer, RingCentral, said: βWeβve all been part of webinars and theyβre not the easiest to join and when it comes to hosting them, they can be even more nerve-wracking.
βAt RingCentral, our focus is to simplify communications and collaboration technology, so itβs easy to set-up, use, and manageβwith RingCentral Webinar, weβre doing exactly that.
βBy leveraging peopleβs muscle memory of hosting and joining RingCentral Video meetings and by adding Webinar capabilities directly to our unified communications app β that already offers team messaging, video meetings, and a cloud phone system β weβve made it easier for businesses to deploy and for users to join RingCentral Webinar.β
RingCentral webinars can be hosted through web browsers and the RingCentral app, with attendees also able to join via mobile devices. The vendor claims it has been designed to βensure radical simplicityβ.
The beta version of RingCentral Webinar is available in Australia, Canada, the EU, the UK and the US. Rollouts in India, Singapore and Switzerland are coming soon.
The feature will integrate with marketing automation systems such as Marketo and Task Automation, with CRM integrations set to be available over the coming quarters.
