Uberconference VI is currently kind of worse than useless.

I’m certain Craig Walker and his team think that all the benefits described in the article above work today – but they don’t. Not even close. Way far from close. Like the other side of the planet from close!

I just held a 45-minute conference after turning on VI for the first time (I’ve used Uberconference for years just to get the recording) and the “Action Items” summary doesn’t even come with a time stamp so I can go back to that point in the call to get the whole frame of reference.

As the host and moderator of my calls I was hoping to be able to stop taking notes while speaking & listening to the others on the call but Uberconference VI makes things worse because it wastes my time going through the VI summary trying to find some value above and beyond my own notes.

I “chatted” with Uberconference’s “customer service” after seeing the VI summary to see if they can provide me with the list of keywords that VI uses to generate the “Action Items” list and was told that a) they don’t provide it to customers, or b) it doesn’t exist because the system is so smart a list is not needed.

(Earth the Uberconference: An action item keyword trigger list is needed as the current way Uber VI delivers “Action Items” appears to be almost completely random and the lack of Action Item timestamps just really leaves you wondering)

In any event, for any project managers out there like me that are trying to find the next level, don’t expect it from Uberconference VI today because like I said, any time spent trying to glean “intelligence” from the VI summary is a waste of your time that could be better spent uploading the Uberconference MP3 to http://www.Rev.com and paying 10 cents a minute for their “Auto Transcription” which is much better than Uber’s VI and Rev.com provides an editable platform that project managers can share with clients.

Bottom Line? Uberconference VI gets a “D” grade and Rev.com gets a “B” grade.
