On June 6th, 2017, the industry leader Polycom introduced a brand new item to their portfolio. Polycom Pano is a quick and easy way to share content at work, allowing anyone in business meetings to share as many as four content streams, without having to worry about dongles, or cables.

Pano was developed because Polycom believed their customers shouldn’t have to waste time and effort looking for simple ways to share information. In a world where teams are constantly struggling to share spreadsheets and presentations quickly during a meeting format, Pano will allow for easier access to data. Customers simply need to connect Pano to any of their displays to instantly allow wireless content sharing from Macs, PCs, smartphones, and tablets. They can even use live video.

Pano also includes a range of safeguards and security solutions that restrict sharing to the target monitor, and ensure that content is protected throughout the meeting.

Responding to Customer Needs

According to a press release announcement by the Chief Executive Office of Polycom, Mary McDowell, customers in the past have complained about the fact that they struggle to share information in a meeting setting. Time is often wasted as co-workers’ search for the right cord or adapter for each device in use.

As the world of collaboration continues to evolve, Polycom believes that the connections we make at work are more productive when we can build and annotate ideas simultaneously in real time. Pano will make content sharing easier for almost any business environment.

When added to a touch monitor, Pano even introduces a wider range of set capabilities, including interactive whiteboarding features that are not available within other wireless content sharing services. Using a high-res monitor that is 4k enabled can also enhance the experience of sharing content, because Pano can work alongside existing video equipment. It’s easy to add Pano to your established conference room tech.

Eliminating Workplace Frustrations

The new Polycom Pano is the perfect solution for any room in which meetings can be held. According to the VP of Global Channels and vendor alliances, Daniel Rogers, the system eliminates many of the common frustrations that workplaces have when it comes to sharing content, and gives teams a chance to start focusing on crucial tasks instead.

Polycom has long helped businesses around the world to improve their collaboration efforts, which is why more than 400,000 companies are using their services to bridge the gap between worldwide co-workers with voice, video, and content solutions. When it comes to workplace productivity, the Pano development is just the next step towards a more connected workplace delivered by Polycom.
