RingCentral has announced that RingCentral Video (RCV), a reimagined video meetings experience for businesses, will now be available as part of the RingCentral Office solution in Europe. In addition, the company has announced that customers can now extend their RingCentral Video experience into their conference rooms with RingCentral Rooms and with RingCentral Rooms for Poly.

RCV, which launched in the US earlier in the year, offers a range of functions and capabilities that are designed to transform usersβ meetings experience while also ensuring video is a secure option for business video meetings when utilised as part of RingCentral Office. To aid security, RCV offers RingCentralβs rich admin, host and user settings such as host and moderator controls for audio, video, chat, screen sharing, meeting passwords, waiting room, and robust user authentication for joining meetings. The company says trust is enhanced because RingCentral does not rent or sell any of its customersβ personal information and RCV and RingCentral Office meet GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
βSecurity is a key component of business video meetings and with RingCentral Video we have a secure solution to business video meetings, by providing a rich set of controls for both host and attendeeβs including controls for audio, video, chat and sharing as well as user authentication,β said Sunny Dhami, the Senior Director of EMEA Product Management and Go to Market at RingCentral. βRingCentral Video also offers much more in terms of an enhanced experience regardless of where you join from.β
RCV has been built on a new, high-availability infrastructure that draws on RingCentralβs years ofΒ experience as a global Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) provider for secure and reliable business communications. This enables RCV to offer a complete browser-based experience, utilising and extending Google Chromeβs WebRTC, so users do not have to download an application to join, host, or schedule a meeting.Β In addition, RingCentral Video is integrated with team messaging and global cloud phone system capabilities, including business voice and fax, all tightly integrated enabling people and teams to collaborate across all modes of communication without losing context.
βRingCentral Video offers a true unified experience bringing together team messaging a global cloud phone system and video on one single platform,β explained Dhami. βThis is allowing organisations to be able to communicate and collaborate across all modes of communication and locations without losing context. We have also made RingCentral Video very easy to join, so itβs a simple experience to join wherever you may be. We have seen a huge spike in business video usage and RingCentral Video is enabling people to work from anywhere and stay connected on a smart and secure video platform.β
RingCentral Rooms is designed to transform meeting rooms of any size into cloud-based video collaborative spaces, where both in-office and remote teams can work together face-to-face. RingCentral Rooms utilises the hardware that many meeting rooms are already equipped with to help minimize the need for complicated initial IT deployment and set-up. In addition, RingCentral Rooms built in partnership with Poly consolidates meeting roomsβ hardware needs while enabling a new wave of room intelligence, analytics, and manageability.
βRingCentral Video brings insights into video meetings, with detailed analytics provided across various metrics such as adoption, usage and QoS,β added Dhami.
βThis information is displayed across dashboards for easy access and consumption which ultimately allows administrators to provide a more enhanced meetings experience across an organisationβ
RingCentral Rooms for Poly is generally available to all customers in the US and Europe and is fully integrated with Polyβs X30 and X50 USB video bars which simplify bringing a seamless modern meeting experience to physical workspaces.
