Today, the world of communications is converging ever closer to the cloud, with adoption rates moving faster than we ever expected. Some of the factors that have been driving this shift include the change from CapEX to OpEX models for expense, offering pay-as-you-go collaboration studios rich in features such as scalability, mobile support, and flexibility. Leading analytics firms believe a yearly growth of between 15-20% will take place for Cloud-based messaging and telephony.

Huawei is one of the major players in the world of Cloud Enterprise communication. As an ICT solutions provider on a global scale, Huawei has positioned itself as a pioneer in the sphere of conferencing solutions, as well as a world-leader in manufacturing conference phones. Recently, they announced that they would be teaming up with Konftel, a leading audio solutions company, to design enhanced conference solutions.

The product manager for Konftel, Torbjorn Karlsson, noted that the team were “delighted about forging this constructive partnership” with the ICT leader. He went on to explain that their strategy is to find ways to certify and optimise their products for the leading platforms in communications, to help deliver a more powerful and comprehensive range of features for business value and convenience, across unified communication environments.

Supporting Huawei’s Cloud

Perhaps the most significant result you can see of the new partnership comes with the certification given to the Konftel 300IP phone designed to enable the Huawei Cloud UC solution. Recently, Konftel has made changes to the software of the phone for the Huawei Cloud UC, for instance, the Konftel 300IP can now connect directly to the Huawei conference bridge, capable of handling up to 20 participants at a time. What’s more, the Konftel 300IP also integrates more easily with the corporate directory of companies.

In today’s fast-moving business world, clear and simple communication represents a crucial aspect of the current climate. People need to be able to connect through direct dialogue, even in cases where they can’t conduct a meeting in the same room. According to the Huawei director for cloud communications across Western Europe, Wumo, the new collaboration means that they can now offer high-level conference solutions for meetings of all shapes and sizes.

Alongside the partnership, Konftel and Huawei will be developing joint activities for marketing, and will be present at the Huawei stand in the Hannover CeBIT trade show in Germany.
