Snom & VTech Share Success Since Acquisition

IP telephony specialist Snom Technology is celebrating two years since joining forces with the world’s leading manufacturer of cordless phones, VTech. The acquisition has allowed VTech to gain a greater share in the business phone market while enabling Snom to reach new customers and tap into VTech’s world-class manufacturing capabilities.

Alison Tetlow, UK Distribution Director at Snom, said:

“The collaboration has allowed us to strengthen our position in the market as we continue to deliver the same first-rate products around the globe.”

“We are always looking to deliver added benefits to our customers and access to VTech’s manufacturing capabilities has reduced our production costs, which means a reduced product price.’’

The acquisition has seen Snom fast-track growth – resulting in increased choice for the customer – with Snom releasing thirteen major products in the last two years. The D735, which features an energy saving proximity sensor, and the A170 wireless DECT headset are just two of the innovative products that have been launched since the acquisition. Snom’s global software development footprint has also grown with the business expanding its highly skilled team beyond its Berlin HQ to include R&D centres in Vancouver, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

C.H. Tong, president of Telecommunication Products at VTech said: “Snom’s reputation as a world-class provider of VoIP telephony meant they were an ideal partner. However, it was also important that we collaborate with a company that has the same culture and ethos. In the two short years since we’ve come together, we have already enjoyed mutually beneficial relations and I’m excited to see how our journey progresses.”

Snom has maintained its strong brand identity since the acquisition and continues to provide innovative high-quality telecommunications products at increasingly competitive price-performance ratios.
