Snom‘s D7XX Series VoIP desk phones have been officially certified as supported devices for Zoom Phone.

According to the company, the product range is designed to be adaptable for users working in a remote, hybrid, or in-office environment.

Snom states that its D7XX Series is its international bestseller and has the popular “standing” design.

Gernot Sagl, CEO of Snom Technology, commented: “We’re thrilled that our products now meet the needs of organisations who are already using Zoom Phone, or who plan to do so in future.

“By having a whole range of our phones certified, we’ve extended the deployment scenario of our advanced IP solutions to a broader user base, giving Zoom Phone customers and providers increased flexibility.”

Nearly every product in the D7XX range is equipped with high-resolution colour displays and freely programmable function keys.

With the product range now certified for Zoom Phone, Snom can now market its products to over three million Zoom Phone users.

Jeff Fox, Strategic Alliances Marketing Lead, Zoom, said: “The Zoom Hardware Certification Program creates a broad ecosystem of products certified to work with Zoom services, giving customers reliable solutions and providing better communication experiences.

“The D7xx Series of desk phones from Snom is an important addition to Zoom’s existing devices certified under our Hardware Certification Programme, and will be sought out by customers.”

Snom’s D7XX Series consists of the following products:

  • Snom D785/D785N
  • Snom D735
  • Snom D717

According to Snom, the company has over 10 million devices installed worldwide, making it a globally recognised manufacturer of IP telecommunications solutions.

Founded in 1997, the company uses its experience and knowledge of the IP telecommunications market to tackle new challenges created by the rise of hybrid work.

Snom states that these challenges include mobility of employees as well as increasing digitalisation across all communication environments.

What is Zoom Phone?

Zoom Phone is a cloud-based phone system that connects the core Zoom platform to the wider telephony network.

This means Zoom users can call standard mobile and landline numbers using the native Zoom dialer.

There are a few ways to do this, including the Zoom Phone Provider Exchange, Zoom’s BYOC program, and Zoom Phone plans.

Zoom Phone plans leverage Zoom’s technology to provide companies with local and international calling and minute bundles.

Typically, services are charged on a per-month and per-user basis. The Zoom Phone native solution includes all the traditional PBX features most companies would expect, including centralized management via a comprehensive admin portal, a secure and reliable global network, and HD audio calls.
