Earlier this year, HP introduced the Workforce Experience Platform in private beta, aiming to improve employee experience and streamline IT management within a unified platform. According to the company, a recent acquisition “marks the next step in the platform journey,” further differentiating HP from its competitors in the market.
“With the addition of Vyopta’s unique capabilities, HP has a tremendous opportunity to unlock fulfilling employee experiences and meet the evolving needs of our customers,” said Faisal Masud, President of HP Digital Services. “Vyopta has revolutionised the way organisations deliver collaboration experiences by providing contextual intelligence, unified visibility, and actionable alerts across a wide range of business collaboration applications, devices, and infrastructure.”
Also at HP Imagine, the company unveiled a swathe of new, AI-powered Poly solutions designed to enhance video conferencing and hybrid collaboration.
Among the compelling reveals at this week’s HP Imagine event were new Poly Studio Video Bars, a significant upgrade to the Poly VideoOS platform, and an innovative new program around AI and collaboration experimentation called Poly Labs.

Disney Says Let It Go To Slack, Will Go The Distance With Microsoft Teams
Disney has dropped Slack as its company-wide collaboration platform of choice in favour of Microsoft Teams.
The publication Status reported a leaked internal memo detailing that the entertainment and hospitality behemoth plans to discontinue using Slack’s messaging services by the end of Q1 FY25 because of a leak of messages and documents earlier this summer.
The announcement follows claims by the hacking group Nullbulge that they had breached Disney’s internal Slack messages over the summer. Wired reported that the hacking group accessed over 1.1 TB of internal content, including 44 million Slack messages and 10,000s of documents.
Business Insider followed up on this story last week by reporting the proposed move to Teams, which has catalysed employee concerns about leveraging Microsoft’s popular platform as an alternative. They are seemingly worried that cost-cutting measures drove the shift to Teams while fearing losing longstanding Slack integrations and archived content.
