If you’re looking for a highly customizable, intuitive, and flexible display for your hybrid workplace, the Clevertouch Lux for Enterprise screen could be the perfect choice.

Part of Clevertouch’s all-in-one Enterprise Ecosystem solution, the Lux display is brimming with intuitive features. It also offers direct access to a huge variety of applications (including Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 tools).

It doesn’t have the same built-in AI assistants, integrated cameras, or microphones as other displays I’ve reviewed (like the Surface Hub 3), but it is a little more affordable. It’s also ideally suited to companies embracing BYOM and BYOD policies.

I put one of Clevertouch’s high-quality displays to the test, to bring you this behind-the-scenes guide to its top features, benefits, and potential downsides.

The Quick Verdict, Pros and Cons

Available in multiple sizes, for any sized meeting room, the Clevertouch Lux for enterprise is an intuitive, highly customizable office display. Certified by Google, and compatible with all of the top collaboration tools (such as Microsoft Teams), this display combines intuitive software with exceptional visual clarity, and touchscreen functionality.

In my opinion, the biggest downside is the lack of an integrated microphone and camera system, which would transform this device into an all-in-one meeting room kit.

Pros:

  • Google EDLA certified
  • BYOM and BYOD compatible
  • Industry-leading touchscreen capabilities
  • Huge range of connectivity options
  • Excellent management via the cloud
  • Built-in features for a range of use cases

Cons:

  • No built-in camera or microphone
  • Device management requires a subscription
  • No advanced features (like AI)

The Clevertouch Lux for Enterprise: Overview and Specs

The Lux for Enterprise by Clevertouch is an interactive display designed for enterprise environments. It combines advanced features with seamless integration options, an intuitive touchscreen design, and a full 4K resolution.

One of the most interesting things about this display is that it’s certified by Google EDLA (Enterprise Device License Agreement). That means it comes pre-loaded with all of the apps in the Google Play store, from Google Workspace to Microsoft Teams.

The Google EDLA certification also delivers a few bonus security features, like data encryption and two-step authentication, which are great for business users.

This device comes in three sizes: 65”, 75”, and 86”. All of them include the same features, and prices start at around $3,000. That makes this screen much more affordable than most of the high-tech options offered by companies like Microsoft and Webex.

Here’s a quick rundown of the technical specifications:

  • 4K LCD screen with a 60hz refresh rate
  • AG tempered glass with smudge and glare resistance
  • 50 continuous touchpoints for interactivity
  • Palm rejection and simultaneous writing
  • Wi-Fi connectivity
  • 3 HDMI in, 1 HDMI out
  • 3 x USB-A 2.0, 2 x USB front-type A 3.0, and 2 x USB Side-type A 3.0
  • Integrated NFC/RFID
  • BYOD and BYOM support
  • 2 x 20W front-facing speakers and 2x 10W subwoofers
  • Android operating system

Clevertouch Lux for Enterprise: Display and Interactivity

Let’s start with the display itself. As mentioned above, this is a slimline 4K screen available in a range of sizes for mid-sized to large meeting rooms. You get a fantastic 178-degree viewing angle and durable, tempered, antibacterial glass for excellent longevity.

The screen itself is also smudge—and glare-resistant and fantastic at displaying crisp, high-contrast, and colorful images. You can even customize your display, adding your own unique screensavers, logos, or dashboards.

One area where the Clevertouch Lux solution stands out is in the quality of its touchscreen experience. This display goes above and beyond the functionality of solutions like the Neat Board, with integrated palm rejection and high-precision IR technology.

You get 50 continuous touchpoints, enabling a clean and precise writing experience using a stylus or your finger. Plus, the response time is fantastic: less than 5ms.

As an added bonus, you’ll already have access to multiple essential collaboration apps, like a digital whiteboard or dedicated brainstorming tools, on the Google Play store. Plus, a set of high-quality speakers is included for exceptional audio.

Collaboration Features, BYOD, and BYOM

One of the biggest issues I noticed with the Clevertouch Lux for Enterprise is that it doesn’t feature an integrated camera and microphone. You can connect your own, but this might make the device less appealing for those searching for all-in-one room kit solutions.

Despite this, the Lux still excels at enabling enhanced collaboration experiences. Aside from its touchscreen capabilities for brainstorming, it comes with instant access to all the collaboration tools you need through the Google Play Store. You can instantly load tools like Google Drive and Docs or Microsoft Word with minimal effort.

Plus, the Lux display fully supports BYOM (Bring Your Own Meeting) options. You can easily connect to Zoom or Cisco Webex. There’s even integrated NFC (Near Field Communication). That means users can effortlessly load their personal profiles onto any screen by swiping a compatible device next to the screen.

If you don’t want to rely on wireless connectivity, there are plenty of input points for wired connectivity. CleverShare is also pre-built into the system. This is Clevertouch’s convenient software that allows you to connect up to 50 devices to a screen simultaneously. Once connected, you can share images, videos, and audio from your smartphone or laptop seamlessly.

CleverShare even includes touch-back capabilities with two-way controls for presenters, so you can prevent users from sharing irrelevant content. Plus, it allows teams to display up to nine different screens simultaneously.

Device Management and Control Features

Clevertouch enables device management for business leaders through a customized solution by “Radix” which enables teams to control hundreds of devices remotely. It gives you similar functionality to solutions like Logitech Sync, allowing you to push updates to devices, or remotely shutdown and wipe screens from any location.

You can also run diagnostics to troubleshoot any potential device issues. On top of that, you get the extra control offered by EDLA certification, which means you can set up data encryption, two-step authentication, and other device management features through the cloud. Notably, you will need a subscription to the software service to continue accessing the features.

Companies can create individual account profiles for team members with access to different features. They can even enable or disable built-in Enterprise features, such as the CleverLauncher, LynxShare, or LynxCloud applications.

Plus, the Clevertouch Lux for Enterprise display comes with integrated room booking capabilities, ideal for hybrid workspaces. One feature I really like is the ability for administrators and leaders to share rapid updates on their screens through the cloud.

In emergency situations, you can instantly broadcast important messages to anyone close to a meeting with a single touch. You could even just send a message to a team in a meeting room asking them to wrap up their conversation, to avoid booking issues.

Clevertouch Lux for Enterprise: Customization

I’ve already touched on some ways you can customize your experience with the Clevertouch Lux for enterprise display. But the flexibility of this screen deserves its own section.

Beyond simply allowing you to create and share custom screens with CM Pro or install a range of apps from the Google Play Store, this screen also gives you control over your operating system.

Although it comes with an Android system built in, you can also choose an optional Intel Windows 10 PC solution. That’s great if you want more control over your technology stack.

Plus, the integrated features ensure you can use this device for any use case. There are embedded solutions for digital signage and collaboration.

You can also access dedicated systems for educational requirements. For instance, you get the “LYNX” app, which has online lesson-planning capabilities. The only downside from a customization perspective is that there aren’t many mounting options available.

You can access VESA mounts to place your screen on a wall, but if you’re looking for something like a portable mount, you might have a few more difficulties.

Clevertouch Lux for Enterprise: The Verdict

If you’re looking for an all-in-one display for your meeting rooms, complete with a built-in camera, microphones, and even extra features like AI, the Lux might not be the best choice. However, it is one of the most flexible and versatile displays I’ve tried.

For those in search of a convenient, and easy-to-use display that will support any kind of workplace or team environment, the Clevertouch Lux for Enterprise is a great choice. It offers state-of-the-art touchscreen capabilities, access to a host of built-in features, and the power to choose from a wide range of applications for collaboration.

Plus, compared to some of the displays I’ve reviewed, the Clevertouch solution is definitely more affordable – particularly for smaller and mid-sized businesses.
