Lightware has enhanced its US sales team with new leadership appointments.

Lightware has confirmed Roger Takacs‘s appointment as Executive Vice President of Sales at Lightware Americas and Marc Jones‘s promotion to National Sales Director for the United States. Lightware says these strategic leadership changes underscore its commitment to driving growth and excellence in its sales operations across the region.

In his new capacity, Takacs will spearhead the sales teams for Lightware across the Americas, encompassing North, Central, and South regions. His role will involve strategising, leading, and nurturing key client relationships to broaden Lightware’s market footprint.

Takacs’ appointment draws on his extensive two-decade experience in sales and leadership. His tenure at Lightware began in 2022 as the VP of Education, where he concentrated on driving growth within the global educational sector.

Clint Hoffman, President and CEO of Lightware Americas, commented:

Roger’s extensive experience and proven leadership make him the ideal candidate to lead our sales efforts across the Americas. His vision and commitment to excellence will be instrumental in achieving our ambitious growth objectives.”

Lightware also promoted Jones to National Sales Director for the US, a move the business stresses aligned with the company’s growth ambitions. Recognised for his leadership qualities and ability to boost sales performance significantly, Jones has been credited as a pivotal member of the Lightware team.

Formerly, as the Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast US, Lightware says he distinguished himself through the development and execution of effective sales strategies, fostering robust customer relationships, and consistently exceeding sales objectives.

“Marc has consistently exceeded expectations and has played a crucial role in our success in the US market,” Hoffman added. “His promotion is well-deserved, and we are confident he will continue to drive our sales initiatives to new heights.”

A Busy July For Lightware

Last week, Lightware bolstered its Enterprise leadership team with several key appointments to enhance its global operations.

Craig McQueen, formerly the Sales Director at Lightware UK, has been appointed as the Director of Enterprise Sales for the EMEA region at Lightware Headquarters. McQueen will work alongside Michael “Moose” Adams, who has been the Director of Enterprise Sales for the US region since April 2023. Additionally, Péter Vida has taken on the role of Enterprise Sales Manager, further strengthening the enterprise sales leadership team.

Lightware states that the new Enterprise team will play a crucial role in expanding its international presence and ensuring the continued delivery of cutting-edge solutions to its enterprise clients worldwide.

What Else Has Lightware Been Up To Recently?

Last month, Lenovo and Lightware partnered to launch an advanced solution for Microsoft Teams Rooms designed to enhance hybrid work.

The collaboration integrates Lightware’s advanced Taurus devices and LARA control software with Lenovo’s ThinkSmart solutions designed for Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR). These combined solutions aim to redefine collaboration technology standards by ensuring seamless integration, enhanced functionality, and an improved user experience in modern meeting room environments.

Meanwhile, in May, Lightware announced a new integration between its Taurus Switcher solutions and Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows that facilitates bring your own device (BYOD) connectivity.

Lightware has reportedly tailored its solution to meet the needs of systems integrators, meeting room users, and IT professionals by providing advanced BYOD functionality and room control capabilities. The Taurus UCX/TPX Series Universal Switchers allow Teams Rooms users to easily connect their personal laptops to the room’s meeting system. This enables seamless content sharing and access to controls for lighting, projectors, and shades, thereby enhancing the overall meeting experience.
