Owl Labs has launched the Meeting Owl 3 which combines a 360-degree camera, microphone and speaker into one device.

The new flagship product is the third generation of the Meeting Owl line and has been launched with a new Expansion Mic and an enhanced Owl Intelligence System (OIS) software.

Frank Weishaupt, CEO of Owl Labs, says that Meeting Owl 3 has been designed to support hybrid working following the COVID-19 pandemic.

He said: “Hybrid is now the way that teams expect to work, and we believe flexible policies are here to stay – but pre-pandemic technology to support hybrid work was an afterthought.

“While smaller and medium-sized businesses have been faster to adopt and support a hybrid format, we’re also seeing the world’s largest companies choose similar, flexible models and seeking more immersive technology to power the transition.

“As a team that has been hybrid since before COVID, we’re proud to launch our third generation Meeting Owl to connect organisations of all sizes even more seamlessly.”

Meeting Owl 3 is available to buy for £1,049, with the Expansion Mic add-on costing £249.

According to Owl Labs, the product has been upgraded to include faster and more accurate face detection, expanded video and audio range, upgraded USB capability and more.

Those who attend a video call using a Meeting Owl 3 will see a 360-degree view of the room, along with panels that zoom in on participants who are speaking or moving.

The new Expansion Mic also extends the Meeting Owl 3’s audio range to eight meters to allow all participants to be heard around larger meeting tables.

Last year, Owl Labs launched their Meeting HQ device that sits in the middle of the table and lets users launch meetings with a single tap.

The device can be paired with the Meeting Owl range and works with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and more.
