SMART Technologies is building on its SMART Board portfolio of offerings by announcing two new product releases in the line and one product to link them for meetings better.

The SMART Board Mini, the SMART Board M Pro High secure series TAA Interactive Display and the SMART OneLaunch promise to transform collaboration across various professional environments.

Released ahead of their demo opportunities at ISE 2025, the products tackle engagement, privacy and seamless connectivity, respectively.

SMART Board Mini Interactive Podium

The SMART Board Mini interactive podium is being billed as a response to critical challenges identified through SMART research into IT directors and educational professionals.

The survey revealed that 52% of respondents emphasised the urgent need for real-time feedback mechanisms, while 30% of higher education campuses continue to rely on outdated technological infrastructure.

The conclusion SMART came up with was a need to annotate presentations directly, deeming it crucial for simplifying complex concepts and making training more interactive.

“I am proud to introduce our newest product, the SMART Board Mini, an interactive podium that pushes the boundaries of interactive technology,”

Nicholas Svensson, CEO of SMART Technologies, said.

The interactive podium offers presenters flexibility and engagement capabilities in modern instructional settings and workspaces.

Its high-quality audio and video for hybrid meetings and instruction enables speakers to move more freely and engage their audiences with tools for real-time collaboration that facilitate seamless interaction between in-person and remote audiences.

This includes digital inking that can be saved and shared, giving the ability to annotate presentations directly.

SMART’s proprietary SMART Ink technology allows users to write directly into PDFs and Microsoft Office files, with notes seamlessly embedded in the original document.

The SMART Board Mini video conferencing solution includes a 4K AI-enabled camera, an advanced 8-microphone array, a 12W sound system, and a crisp 27″ 4K UHD display.

This integrated approach ensures high-quality audio-visual communication across diverse settings.

It also features an integrated Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) PC module slot, which makes it compatible with both Windows and Google-licensed appliances.

“As the only interactive podium with an integrated OPS PC module slot, there is simply nothing else on the market that offers what we do at SMART,” Svensson said.

This design ensures users can work within familiar, consistent technological environments, dramatically reducing learning curves and enhancing productivity.

The podium’s connectivity capabilities further this ease of use. A single cable connection enables touch and digital ink interactions on secondary screens or projectors, eliminating the need for complex additional hardware like splitters or switches.

When paired with a SMART display, the podium and display can simultaneously interact with content, facilitating real-time collaborative experiences.

The podium’s versatile design permits free-standing use on tables or desks, with optional mounting on monitor arms or integration into lecterns, and pairs with other SMART displays to offer displays that simultaneously interact with content.

Additional Innovations

Accompanying the SMART Board Mini, the company also launched the SMART Board M Pro High secure series TAA Interactive Display.

This display is specifically engineered for government and privacy-sensitive industries.

Designed to meet the security requirements of the US Trade Agreements Act aimed at judicial, executive, and legislative branches, as well as the military and high-security industries, the M Pro High secure series TAA offers robust cybersecurity and security standards.

This includes it being purpose-built to have no embedded OS, no mic-array, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi, and no USB mass-transfer to reduce security vulnerabilities.

Yet, it does not sacrifice quality. Like the SMART Board Mini, it offers 4K Ultra HD resolution, SMART Ink capabilities and touch technology that enables multiple users to write, erase, and interact at the same time without interfering with one another.

Its integration includes JWIC, NIPR, SIPR, and KVM to streamline and match government setups.

SMART OneLaunch

Lastly, announced in the launch was the SMART OneLaunch.

Designed for simplicity and consistency, SMART OneLaunch, powered by Airtame, is a gateway to hybrid meetings.

By just touching the join button on the SMART Board display, users are given instant access to Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, and other cloud UCC platforms they are integrated with.

This button also allows users to join directly from their personal devices, using a secure code to participate, screen share, and manage hybrid meetings.

All this is done with no additional hardware, dongles, or complicated setup required.

SMART at ISE

SMART will exhibit its new products at ISE, Stand 1C170, in Hall 1.

Last year, the meeting display company unveiled other iterations of its SMART Board series, with the SMART Board RX, MX series and GX Series (V3) with the latter featuring the SMART Ink capabilities.
