Avaya, one of the leading communication companies in the world today, recently announced the arrival of yet another flexible plan option for its customers. The private cloud offering, known as “Avaya OneCloud ReadyNow”, is available through a network of data centres in the United States, Europe and APAC and can be consumed in 34 countries.
The ReadyNow offering will provide enterprise customers with access to the Avaya Unified Communication and Contact Centre Solutions, provided through a secure private cloud environment. This offers customers an automated and convenient way to access all the benefits of communication on the cloud. The private cloud solution offers preconfigured consumption per-seat, and standard bundles, allowing on-premises companies to access all the scalability and flexibility that they need.
Because ReadyNow offers the same access to applications that customers already use on-premises, they can achieve savings in efficiency and cost by minimising the changes to their existing UC and CC workflows – allowing a smoother transition into the cloud.
Building on a Flexible Deployment Strategy
The launch of ReadyNow forms a crucial part of Avaya’s strategy to take its virtual cloud infrastructure to companies around the world. Avaya is a leader in its marketplace, with more than 150 million seats around the world – making it fantastically well-positioned to help enterprise customers transition to the cloud at a pace that suits them.
The ReadyNow solution will be delivered under a single model for global delivery across an international network data centres. The centres all host pre-built virtual environments, built with interoperability to existing on-premises assets and applications. The dedicated software allows customers of Avaya to add the security measurements that they need to the cloud or build a hybrid environment.
The ReadyNow service is just another example of Avaya’s efforts to bring cloud solutions to companies in various regions. As more companies search for ways to take advantage of cloud offerings, with added security services, the ReadyNow solution provides an easy way to access digital transformation. The infrastructure and packaged software makes it easier to deploy the solution faster, without compromising on custom services for businesses.
The launch of ReadyNow comes soon after Avaya introduced the IX subscription program for the international market in November of 2019. The IX Subscription program makes it easier for APAC and EMEA customers to access Avaya’s communication and collaboration offerings in a way that suits them.
The new subscription program offers customers a flexible consumption-based alternative to the typical pricing models that they’re used to for on-prem deployments – facilitating easier access to the cloud. With Avaya IX Subscription, just like ReadyNow, customers can scale the consumption of their technology to suit their individual needs. The program comes with annual or monthly subscription payments to choose from, as well as benefits like reduced business risk and improved operational agility.
Simplifying Digital Transformation
Both OneCloud ReadyNow and the IX Subscription program make it easier for businesses of all sizes to accelerate their move to the cloud. For instance, the IX Subscription comes with automatic updates when new software is released. What’s more, there’s flexibility for up to 20% higher than normal subscription usage without additional charges.
Avaya is working hard to provide customers with a wider and more diverse range of deployment options. The subscription model for on-premises communication infrastructure will allow businesses who want to jump into the cloud one step at a time a more accessible hybrid environment. Avaya IX Subscription will allow for a convenient stepping stone on the journey to the cloud, while OneCloud ReadyNow gives companies a faster solution for the deployment of private cloud-based communications.

Avaya’s International Senior Director of Private Cloud & Managed Services, Ayman Majzoub, said that the new delivery model, combined with automation tools, mean that ReadyNow can reduce deployments that would have taken several thousand hours to build down to a matter of minutes. Additionally, for advanced configurations, there’s the option to set up a system that’s ready to be customized to the specific needs of each customer.
To make choosing a cloud transition solution even easier, Avaya also offers additional bonuses to companies who want to move into the cloud. For instance, the Avaya IX Subscription program comes with upgrade and trade-in offers for existing customers. This means that businesses can extend and continue to leverage the existing investments that they already have in their Avaya subscription strategies.
Transforming Cloud Access
Avaya IX Subscription and OneCloud ReadyNow aren’t the only examples that we’ve seen of Avaya’s commitment to making the cloud more accessible either. Another aspect of Avaya’s new highly flexible deployment models is the arrival of global Device as a Service offering. The DaaS solution, expanded to be available in Canada and Europe in November 2019, allows businesses to acquire some of the latest devices in the Avaya line-up, with the flexibility of a monthly subscription cost. This means that companies can experiment with the latest hardware, without having to worry about spending a fortune on tech.
The DaaS offering from Avaya covers technology like the Avaya IX IP Phones, the Avaya Vantage Phones, and various Avaya IX Conference Phones too. This includes recently launched conference phone, the Avaya B199. Customers have the option to choose contract terms that cover 1, 3 and 5 years, meaning that it’s much easier to upgrade to the next level of technology when the time is right for your business.
The arrival of everything from DaaS and IX Subscription models to OneCloud ReadyNow demonstrates just how effective Avaya is becoming at providing flexible and immersive deployment solutions for customers. As the demand for the cloud continues to grow more significant, particularly in an age of constant evolution, Avaya is ensuring that companies of all backgrounds and environments can make the most of both their existing technology and the innovations that they’re keen to try in the future.
