Leading cloud communications company, Voximplant, recently announced that it had successfully raised $10 million in funding to support international expansion opportunities. The Voximplant brand has grown to more than 100 employees worldwide, and now supports more than 20,000 customers in 6 countries. The round of investing was led by Baring Vostok. Voximpant also received input from RTP ventures.

This extra funding will help Voximplant to expand further on its go-to-market strategy, focusing on North America to begin with, then moving to a global market. Voximplant customers include leading brands like Atlassian, 8×8, KFC, and Home Credit Bank.

Leveraging the Growing Market

The industry analysts, IDC, predict that CPaaS will grow to a value of $10.9 billion by 2022, as more businesses continue to digitally transform. Companies of all sizes will be looking for the perfect selection of video, voice, and communication capabilities to support customers and partners worldwide. According to Baring Vostok Capital Partners, the brand is pleased to have an opportunity to invest in a company that has a clearly proven path for success.

Voximplant has both an innovative solution and impressive customer momentum, which is rare in such a young company. Voximplant delivers a cloud-based and serverless development environment that offers deep application control, while increasing the development of communications applications. The comprehensive and differentiated set of AI integrations inject state-of-the-art tech into communications applications and deliver coverage to enhance performance worldwide. Currently, the brand supports more than 600 million calls every year, with 20,000 paying customers across market verticals.

According to the CEO and Co-Founder of Nexmo, Tony Jamous, the CPaaS market is still in the early stages, gradually moving away from a technology reserved for early adopters. Robust API platforms like Voximplant will help to drive more demand for this technology in the years to come.

Building on Significant Milestones

The new round of funding follows an exceptionally successful year for Voximplant. During 2019, the company achieved various important milestones, including enhancements to its Smartcalls AI-powered service. The AI offering provides an intelligent and highly customisable web environment that allows businesses to create outbound call campaigns and intelligent IVRs with voice recognition technology in only five minutes.

The low and no-code approach to creating calling solutions helps to increase conversions by up to 50%, while ensuring that leads can be better processed with integrations with CRM systems. According to the co-founder and CEO of Voximplant, Alexy Aylarov, Voximplant has a compelling serverless platform that constantly beats other providers in the competitive marketplace. Voximplant allows developers and businesses to bring their differentiated services to the market at a faster rate.

Investment manager for Baring Vostok, Matvey Vinokurov, will be joining the Voximplant board of directors this year. Additionally, Krill Sheynkman, the senior managing director and founder of RTP Ventures, will also be joining as a board observer.
