GoTo has announced that Peter Mahoney has been appointed its new Chief Commercial Officer, while Nicholas Asadorian has been named its interim Chief Financial Officer.

Mahoney, previously GoTo’s Chief Marketing Officer, will oversee the sales and marketing arms of the business as its new CCO. Asadorian, formerly the company’s Vice President of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis, brings his wealth of financial experience to the interim CFO role. Together, GoTo says they add “operational rigour” to its C-Suite.

Rich Veldran, who was promoted from CFO to CEO of GoTo in January, commented:

After assuming the role of CEO six months ago, I’ve worked with our entire executive team to discover new opportunities for GoTo and continue to push the company into our next phase of growth. Both Peter and Nick bring a high level of operational savviness to their roles, and these moves reinforce that operational rigour and planning remain a top priority in pursuit of a strong go-to-market strategy.”

In his new role as CCO, Mahoney will continue to direct the company’s marketing initiatives while also taking the helm of the sales organisation, a responsibility previously held by Bill Robinson, the former Chief Revenue Officer. Asadorian is set to assume the CFO duties, succeeding Veldran, who has been performing dual roles as CEO and CFO since he was appointed the Chief Executive in January.

Mahoney, who joined GoTo as CMO in August 2023, brings over 35 years of experience in general management, marketing, and product development. GoTo highlighted his previous success running high-velocity sales and marketing organisations, including as Founder and CEO of Plannuh and GM of the Dragon voice recognition and healthcare documentation businesses at Nuance Communications. He also served for almost four years as Nuance’s CMO.

Meanwhile, Asadorian has been part of the GoTo team for over eight years, most recently leading financial planning and analysis. His prior experience includes nearly a decade at Dell EMC, where he held several key roles across the corporate finance organisation.
