GoTo has enhanced its Connect platform with new releases to help drive productivity and reliability in a hybrid work environment.

The updates include a new dial plan editor, call volume analytics, and an efficiency mode to help find and alleviate problems in poor network situations.

GoTo says it is putting IT admins at the forefront of making flexible working a reality by ensuring that employees can make essential connections with customers and partners.

Paddy Srinivasan, Chief Executive Officer of GoTo, said: “With employees working from anywhere, providing consistent, high-quality connections can be challenging, especially for IT admins.

“At GoTo, we continue to optimise for IT admins to give them the insights and reliability needed to reduce tickets and keep businesses running.

“Today’s enhancements go a step further to remove common technology barriers and enable IT admins, to work smarter, all while having the 99.999% uptime they depend on.”

New Dial Plan Editor

GoTo Connect’s dial plan editor allows users to access a drag-and-drop call flow creator, which helps save time.

In the latest update, GoTo has enhanced the system with call volume analytics to be at the forefront of the platform.

It is designed to help IT admins uncover business insights that could be key to improving customer experience and drive revenue.

Call volume data can be viewed in real-time from the last hour or can be used to build trend reports to view calls coming in over the last one, seven, or 30 days.

The new dial plan editor also allows for more phone lines to be added and, in turn, reduces customer wait times if IT admins notice heavy call volume.

It also allows troubleshooting to ensure that phone systems are still online if there is a lack of inbound calls.

Efficiency Mode

Efficiency Mode is designed to recalibrate webcam resolution and screen share quality to ensure an optimal user experience in a hybrid working environment.

If the working location has a strong bandwidth connection, the software will prioritise performance on coherent quality audio.

However selecting efficiency mode in places that may not have a strong WiFi connection, users will be able to save on resources like CPU, bandwidth and battery life while ensuring the meeting experience is as stable as possible.

In August, GoTo revealed The Essentials bundle, which combines GoTo Connect Standard and GoTo Resolve Standard.

The bundle allows customers full access to the full features of Connect and Resolve to offer a platform that supports UCC and IT operations.

Users can take advantage of an all-in-one unified experience as GoTo brings together phones, messaging, meetings, and IT helpdesk ticketing.

The company is focusing on improving its platforms for hybrid working environments after a GoTo executive believes the UK will see the rise of the ‘work from anywhere trend‘ as the cost-of-living crisis develops.

Sion Lewis, GM EMEA at GoTo, has stated that workers may adopt a different approach and continue to work remotely from other locations following reports that employees could return to the office to avoid rising energy costs.

In September, Lewis commented: “Many are expecting a mass return to the office, with predictions that home working could increase bills by a staggering £2,500.

“So, the ‘work from anywhere trend’ could take off even more than before, with savvy employees looking to save money by avoiding both costs of the commute and heating their homes by working from coffee shops, libraries or convenient co-working locations.”

GoTo rebranded from LogMeIn earlier this year and focused on UCaaS and IT support for the SMB market.
