Mitel, the only brand recognised across the Gartner Magic Quadrants for UC, contact centre, AND unified communications as a service, recently scored a big client win with Liverpool Football Club. Liverpool FC recently signed a multi-year agreement with Mitel to make them the club’s official global partner for unified communications and collaboration. This partnership will begin with a transformation of the communication systems at head office, retail facilities, training grounds and even the world-famous Anfield stadium using an innovative unified cloud platform.

The Liverpool Football Club communication strategy will involve using Mitel’s advanced cloud communications platform to deliver better efficiency, reliability, and security in the digital environment.

Improving Fan Experiences with Communication

At the heart of LFC’s decision to partner with Mitel is the quest to deliver a better experience for fans and customers, who will soon be able to reach the best agent available, using their preferred medium. As part of the solution, Mitel will be supporting the club in delivering an enhanced fan experience that reduces wait times and provides omnichannel functionality. Supporter contacts will be linked across all digital and voice environments to give LFC a better overview of their day-to-day interactions.

Combined with an organic Salesforce integration, service agents for Liverpool football club will be able to use their advanced customer service solution to uncover deeper insights into the engagement history of each supporter, for a more tailored fan experience. The new cloud experience will also give LFC employees the ability to collaborate and communicate from any device, anywhere, increasing efficiency and ensuring access to the people and information they need to make quicker decisions.

Mitel will even be providing a future-proof communications framework intended to support the continuous evolution of the LFC digital engagement strategy, self-service solution, and unified desktop plan.

Mitel and LFC Make a Great Team

This is far from the first experience that Mitel has had with a sports team. Mitel is also the number one choice for the Boston Red Sox, which is a sister organisation of the Liverpool Football Club. Currently, Mitel works with around 30 leading sports leagues, franchises, and clubs across the globe.

In a press release about the partnership, managing director and chief commercial officer for the Liverpool Football Club, Billy Hogan said that the group was thrilled to welcome Mitel as the new official global UC partner for the team. Liverpool FC is always looking for new ways to enhance their digital experience and provide better solutions to supporters. With Mitel’s help, LFC can now upgrade their technology and deliver a better quality of service to customers. Additionally, LFC will also introduce new intelligent fan self-service capabilities and channels into the mix.
