Momentum is turning Teams into a virtual fax machine with the release of its Teams fax application.
By enabling cloud faxing within Teams, you can make sending a fax as straightforward as sending an email, as the digital information delivery system utilizes Portable Document Formats (PDFs).
The global managed services provider Momentum yesterday introduced ‘Momentum Teams Faxing,’ which it believes can ‘revolutionize’ business faxing, free up communication lines, and remove the need for other hardware or software.
Brandon Bradley, VP of Modern Work Innovation at Momentum, commented on the significance of the application:
“The Momentum Teams Fax Application modernises traditional faxing by pivoting fax into another collaboration channel within the Teams client, allowing organisations to streamline fax into existing workflows without the need for third-party services or integrations.”
Key Features of Momentum Teams Faxing
Momentum’s related press release highlights four key features of its Teams faxing solution.
First, you can ‘fax from anywhere’ using a desktop, smartphone, tablet, or fax machine, enabling workers to send and receive faxes whether they are at home, in the office, or out and about.
Second, users can keep control and visibility of their critical documents by storing them with the Microsoft Teams tenant.
Third, the HIPAA-compliant solution can offer secure cloud faxing thanks to its investment in document security.
Finally, it is a highly cost-effective option, reducing and entirely eradicating the need for traditional copper phone lines, as well as slashing paper and ink usage. It will even mean fewer service calls, according to the MSP.
There are further benefits listed on Momentum’s website, too, such as fax-to-email integration options, the ability to easily block spam, and full stack networking through a range of services like Teams Phone, SD-WAN, and SIP trunking.
Users can leverage existing numbers or add new toll-free numbers and then either send faxes manually or schedule them to be sent at a later time.
They can also connect to Microsoft’s ecosystem using Momentum’s ‘carrier-grade’ network, which has more than 200 points of presence around the globe and established relationships with over 750 carriers.
If you face any difficulties, there is a 24/7 support team that also has experts in Microsoft Teams on hand to help out.
Rick Garcia, EVP of Modern Work and Marketing at Momentum, also regards this technology as a game-changer within the industry: “Momentum’s Teams Faxing is truly a transformative solution and is a much-needed modernization for industries such as healthcare and financial services which still rely heavily on faxing.
“This innovative offering is another testament to Momentum’s dedication to enabling businesses to thrive as they connect, collaborate, and engage with their customers and partners.”
RingCentral released an integrated SMS and fax solution for the RingCentral for Microsoft Teams platform in 2022.
According to RingCentral, sending a fax is as simple as selecting a file from your documents or cloud storage and choosing a recipient in your contacts.
Later in 2022, Imagicle also announced that its Digital Fax service was available inside the Webex Control Hub.
The solution is fully integrated with Webex Calling to deliver a complete, cloud-based, inbound and outbound fax for multi-tenant and dedicated.
