NEC Enterprise Solutions has unveiled UNIVERGE BLUE CONNECT BRIDGE, enabling on-premise phone systems to access cloud-based services.
Existing on-prem NEC phone systems can be extended to include cloud-based voice via mobile and desktop apps and collaboration from anywhere using video conferencing, file sharing, chat, and more.
This latest addition to Univergeβs cloud services connects customer phone systems to NECβs communications platform, UNIVERGE BLUE.
UNIVERGE BLUE CONNECT, launched in April 2020, works in a similar way, providing a gateway for desktops and mobiles to hook up with its comms platform.
Richard Horsley, Product Manager at NEC Enterprise Solutions, said: βUNIVERGE BLUE CONNECT BRIDGE not only uniquely bridges both on-premises and cloud-based ICT worlds.
βIt also underpins our approach to dynamic delivery of advanced solutions and demonstrates NECβs commitment to Channel Partners and customers to protect investments, maximize the potential of their installations, and boost customer and employee experience in todayβs hybrid world.β
Customers can keep their current phone systems and numbers and add on UNIVERGE BLUEβs communication and collaboration tools.
According to NEC, the solution is easily deployed, and there is no need to buy additional hardware or update any software. Businesses can quickly transfer their systems to the cloud without interruptions or downtime.
Like BLUE CONNECT, communication and collaboration apps can be accessed from desktops and mobile devices. Workers can remain connected whether they work from home or the office.
There is a monthly, per-user fee, depending on which of the two service options customers choose.
CONNECT BRIDGE PRO has slightly reduced features, such as no meeting transcripts and limited recording storage, online meeting participants, file backup, sync, share and voicemail storage.
The premium option is CONNECT BRIDGE PRO PLUS which includes the maximum number of features and storage amounts.
UNIVERGE BLUE is NECβs cloud platform that provides UcaaS and CCaaS solutions for telecoms, collaboration, security, backup, file sharing, webinars, and more.
UC Today undertook a review of UNIVERGE BLUEβs cloud services late last year.
Andrew Cooper, NECβs UK & Ireland Sales Director,Β explained to us how UNIVERGE BLUE simplifies UcaaS.
