Oracle, a world leader in cloud innovations, has just announced their agreement to acquire Talari Networks, a pioneer in SD-WAN technology. Oracle provides companies around the world with the essential elements they need to drive business innovation and accelerate transformation in a digital world. Talari Networks, on the other hand, is well-known for its exceptional Software-Defined Wide Area Network technology, which provides improved app performance and centralised control to customers across 40 countries.

The full details of the acquisition are yet to be revealed, and for the time being, we don’t know exactly how much Oracle has offered to purchase Talari. However, both companies seem to be extremely excited by the upcoming acquisition.

An Exciting Step for Oracle and Talari Networks

In a press release about the acquisition, Talari CEO Patrick Sweeney announced that Talari Networks believes that the transaction will have a positive impact on new and existing customers going forward. Talari networks customers should expect to see an increase in “new network functionality and capabilities” according to Sweeney if the acquisition goes ahead without a hitch.

Talari’s proprietary Failsafe technology already delivers an innovative SD-WAN experience for customers, by providing greater predictability and reliability to companies, while maintaining site-to-site and sit-to-cloud security. If the transaction closes as expected in 2018, then Oracle’s vast brand connections are sure to extend the impact of the Talari solution worldwide.

Both Talari and Oracle plan to work together to support clients in the acceleration of digital transformation and cloud adoption across the globe using a complete range of enterprise network solutions for mission-critical applications and real-time communications.

What’s Next for Oracle and Talari?

Oracle believes that the addition of Talari’s innovative technology to their network will complement their existing SBC and network management solution with exceptional Quality of Experience connectivity and high availability.

As the marketplace continues to evolve, this is an exciting time for two major brands to come together and join forces in the quest to deliver better solutions for digital transformation to companies of all shapes and sizes. When the transaction closes this year, Talari will be able to serve a more extensive selection of customers through Oracle, and Oracle will have access to the pioneering technology that sets Talari apart in the SD-WAN marketplace.

Patrick Sweeney noted in his press release that he “couldn’t be prouder or more excited” by the coming acquisition, and he believes that the customers of both companies will benefit significantly from the transaction.
