Samsung One, the latest upgrade to the manufacturer’s partner program, is the best platform in the mobility and collaborations industry.

That is the belief of Joe Walsh, director of B2B at Samsung UK & Ireland, who told UC Today that the pandemic and increase in remote working has reaffirmed Samsung’s “existing belief that a mobile-first strategy would be essential for any modern partner programme.”

Available via an instant-access mobile app, Samsung One combines sales enablement assets, training, product information, news, incentives and rewards into one place, making it easier and faster for Samsung’s partners to start connecting with their customers.

“The platform is best-in-class in the industry, being the first to go mobile-first and equip partners with the tools required to succeed in a remote and hybrid working environment”

“This year’s events have instigated an urgent acceleration of digital transformation projects and mobility has been a huge part of that. With such a significant proportion of the country working remotely, our technology has enabled people to stay connected and communicate throughout this challenging period.

A great example of this is our Enterprise Edition software, which allows IT teams to remotely manage fleets of devices being used by employees to ensure they are always updated, secure, and supported wherever they are. Enterprise Edition was hugely popular with our customers before the pandemic, but the onset of full-time remote working has shone a light on its true value.

While the pandemic is not exclusively responsible for the launch of Samsung One, it has highlighted the value in running a mobile-first programme that can be deployed in remote or hybrid working environments. We are confident that our agile approach sets us and our partners up for success as we move into the new year.”

DeX the halls

Looking past Christmas, Walsh went on to say that Samsung’s plan for 2021 will revolve around answering the question “Why Samsung?” adding that feedback on it’s DeX product was “exceptionally positive” but could not be drawn on any figures.

“A notable brand focus for us next year will be around the Why Samsung message. B2B can be a complex landscape, even more so now, and we are determined to demonstrate to our customers what the right solution is for their business and how we can help them.

DeX represents our continued investment across B2B and is a product born out of our R&D work. This year, it has been pivotal in aiding the acceleration of digital transformation and mobility projects and, more pragmatically, making working from home easy.

The feedback we have received from our customers – both before and during the pandemic – has been exceptionally positive. While many of our customers are using DeX – particularly in the public sector – there is always more we can do to develop the technology. And it will continue to be a huge part of our portfolio as we head into 2021.”
