RingCentral has today announced the release of a new AI-Powered Virtual Events solution Studio.
Natively integrated into its RingCentral Events platform, Studio offers event organisers a unified, professional streaming experience that aims to simplify and enhance every aspect of event production.
“RingCentral Events is the go-to platform for any organisation looking to elevate their events to be more memorable, personalised, and engaging, and with the launch of Studio, we’re taking the production element to a whole new level,”
Kristen Koenig, Regional Vice President & GM, Video & Events at RingCentral, said.
These new features promise users the ability to produce professional and branded event streams, and utilise AI video clipping and audience engagement features, all within the same user interface.
This aims to eliminate the need for costly production agencies or complex multi-platform setups.
A Look at Studio
Studio represents an increase in abilities for RingCentral Events platform.
RingCentral Events is an all-in-one solution for virtual, onsite, and hybrid event needs.
The platform can scale to host events with up to 100,000 attendees, provides integrated tools for registration, analytics, session management, and engagement, and offers a suite of AI-powered features powered by RingCentral’s RingSense AI platform.
With the launch of Studio, RingCentral Events users can experience an all-in-one speaker experience, which allows event hosts to manage their entire production from a single screen.
This streamlined approach addresses a common pain point in virtual event management, where speakers often struggle with multiple browser tabs and disjointed interfaces.
Studio’s real-time streaming capability is another standout feature, delivering content to audiences without the delays typically associated with third-party streaming platforms.
The platform’s seamless event management tools include pre-uploaded content capabilities, allowing organisers to prepare videos, music, and images in advance.
A private backstage chat feature facilitates smooth communication among team members and speakers during live events.
Additionally, the multi-select content and speaker controls offer unprecedented flexibility, enabling producers to move elements on and off screen with ease.
Studio enables event sessions to be customised with advanced branding options and varied speaker layouts, ensuring a cohesive and impactful audience experience that aligns with organisers’ brand identities.
On the audience side, Studio brings a raft of new features that are aimed to help with engagement.
Speakers are now able to directly engage in attendee chat, highlight questions and answers, and showcase polls, emoji reactions, and call-to-action banners directly on screen.
Equally, AI Q&A categorisation allows quicker comprehension of questions.
These engagement analytics are available through dashboards, integrations, CSV reports, and API, providing organisers with valuable insights for post-event follow-ups.
Plus, Studio’s AI Clips feature ensures that the topics and themes of the day are not lost in the live feed.
With a single click within the video editor, AI-generated highlight snippets are created from event recordings in a matter of seconds.
“The pace of innovation in the webinars and virtual events market, from the rise in hybrid events to an explosion in AI capabilities, is rapidly accelerating.”
Roopam Jain, Vice President of Research, Information and Communications Technologies at Frost & Sullivan said.
“AI-driven content production and personalisation, attendee engagement, and insights are creating new value,”
Such capability aims to save time and reduce costs associated with manually producing post-event short reels.
This gives marketers the ability to quickly repurpose event content and drive post-event engagement while maximising exposure of the event and therefore ROI.
Consolidating Success with Studio
The launch of these new features comes at a time when RingCentral is actively making pushes into the virtual events space.
Following the pandemic, users are more familiar and comfortable attending business events online or in a hybrid capacity.
With Zoom and Webex having created virtual event platforms just before or during the Covid Pandemic, RingCentral arrived a little late to the party.
Thus, their moves have been big ones in the pursuit of parity. In August 2023, they began their acquisition of the events platform and Session product Hopin, and in November of the same year, they announced the release of RingCentral Events.
Since then, RingCentral Events has positioned itself as a contender, with the platform being adopted by several Fortune 500 companies such as Amazon Web Services, Target, Adobe, and DHL Group.
“We’re getting so much value from RingCentral Events,”
Sopiko Heldebro, Senior Director of Global Marketing Campaigns at Optimizely, said.
“We couldn’t be happier with the platform’s ability to host bigger and more complex online events, resulting in higher engagement from attendees and more qualified leads from virtual events than ever before.”
RingCentral’s RingCentral Events Studio capabilities are available immediately and come at no additional cost to RingCentral Events customers.
