Here are just some of the must-see events to add to your calendar in October 2019.

Astricon – Asterisk

Event: AstriCon

Date: 29th and 30th October

Location: Orlando

Audience: The longest-running event in the industry dedicated to the “Asterisk” portfolio, AstriCon welcomes customers and partners from around the world to a tech-focused discussion about some of the most inspiring telecommunication projects to appear in the industry.

Event Type: AstriCon is a user conference designed specifically for people interested in Asterisk. Asterisk is the open-source framework available for developers who want to build and enhance unique communications applications. During the AstriCon event, you’ll see what other industry leaders have accomplished with the Asterisk software, and what may be possible in your projects.

Cost: Pricing is TBC, but the individual passes for 2018 started at $799 for a standard ticket or $2,399 for a “diamond 4-pack” pass.

Digital Transformation IP Expo Europe

Event: Digital Transformation IP Expo

Date: 9th and 10th of October

Location: EXCEL, London

Audience: As perhaps one of the most ambitious unified communication events in the industry, the Digital Transformation IP Expo in Europe is sure to have something for everyone. Intended for business leaders, developers, and innovators, the conference covers 6 topics under one roof. During this event, you’ll learn about cybersecurity, development, AI analytics, the Internet of Things, and Blockchain.

Event Type: The Digital Transformation IP Expo Europe is a leading UC Expo, ideal for people who want to explore the possibilities of the latest disruptive technology in the industry. You’ll have plenty of chances to network with vendors and developers, as well as endless opportunities to test out new comms concepts.

GITEX Dubai

Event: GITEX Dubai

Date: 6th to the 10th of October

Location: Dubai World Trade Centre

Audience: GITEX Dubai is one of the most popular events in the UC industry. Known as the biggest and boldest tech show in MENA, GITEX appeals to developers, leaders and technology enthusiasts from more than 120 countries across the globe.

Event Type: GITEX is a technology and tradeshow that explores the latest developments in the communication and tech industries. Each year, GITEX examines the most significant trends in the marketplace, with discussions about everything from robotics to cloud computing, AI, and blockchain. There’s also the GITEX Future Stars event to show off the most compelling startups in the space.

FutureCom 2019

Event: FutureCom

Date: 28th to the 31st of October

Location: Sao Paulo Expo

Audience: One of the largest digital transformation and technology events on the market, FutureCom specifically targets the Latin America market. The conference shows telecommunications resellers, partners, and stakeholders what they can accomplish with the new disruptions in communication technology.

Event Type: FutureCom is a technology and communication conference, complete with speaker sessions, vendor exhibitions and exciting opportunities to learn and network. 2019 will be the 21st year that FutureCom has been running.

Workplace by Facebook Flow

Event: Workplace by Facebook Flow

Date: 8th October

Location: Menlo Park, CA, USA

Audience: Workplace by Facebook’s “Flow” event is a brand-new leadership event designed by the world’s favourite social media channel. Facebook describes the Flow as an experience intended for Chief People Officers, CIOs, CEOs, and communications or IT executives.

Event Type: Workplace by Facebook Flow is a global conference and fantastic networking opportunity. Here, you’ll have a chance to discover the newest updates to Workplace by Facebook. The event is also set to feature speaker sessions from industry leaders like Smartsheet, ServiceNow, Atlassian, and more.

Microsoft Future Decoded

Event: Microsoft Future Decoded

Date: 1st and 2nd October

Location: London, UK

Audience: Microsoft Future Decoded is an inspirational event designed for business leaders, developers, and elite IT experts. The conference usually hosts around 12,000 attendees, which can include CEOs, business executives and decision makers, as well as anyone else involved with an organisation’s digital transformation strategy.

Event Type: Microsoft Future Decoded is a deep-dive conference exploring new and existing Microsoft products, as well as the upcoming changes in the IT and communications industry. Each year, Microsoft introduces speaker sessions, thrilling technology innovations and more.

Mitel Next Americas

Event: Mitel Next Americas

Date: TBC (2018 was the 1st to 4th of October)

Location: TBC

Audience: Mitel Next is a valuable conference for Mitel partners, consultants, customers, and analysts. During this 3-day experience, you’ll be able to explore topics like customer experience, IoT, digital transformation and collaboration, and how you can evolve your communication technology stack using the latest Mitel technology.

Event Type: Mitel is a vendor Expo and conference where Mitel product experts, executives, and technical trainers guide attendees through sessions designed to help them make the most of the Mitel portfolio. Mitel Next also features keynote speeches from industry leaders each year, along with introductions to any new items that they’ll be selling in the months ahead.

Zoomtopia USA

Event: Zoomtopia USA

Date: 15th and 16th of October 2019

Location: San Jose McEnery Convention Centre

Audience: Zoomtopia USA is the third annual Zoom user conference, explicitly created for Zoom customers. The event celebrates Zoom fans around the globe and encourages them to network with like-minded professionals from various backgrounds.

Event Type: Zoomtopia is both a customer conference, and an educational event, where users can explore deep-dive training sessions, workshops, and breakout opportunities to expand their productivity skills. There’s also the option to explore the newest products at the Zoom Expert Bar.

Cost: TBC. There are no prices for Zoomtopia USA yet, but you can sign up to stay informed here.
